Is this you?

40 something?

Worthless college degree?

Raised in a liberal household?

On mood medications?

Current heavy marijuana smoker?

Never dates?

Left far behind by high school and college classmates?

Make a fraction of what your father did and blame the 1%?

Loyally watch Jon Stewart, MSNBC and read the Washington Post?

Never had any real money until your parents died?

Post here a dozen times a day?

Might be something like me but millenials are changing the world. We're the reason corporations are raising wages and rejecting Republican hatred.

We're also going to be the reason for more paid vacation and leave in line with the rest of the industrialized world. We are not just improving the standard of living but the quality of life in America.

I fully expect to have a personal worth of over a million dollars over the next decade. I laugh at the assholes that have nothing to live for but try to spread misery.

ie Republicans.

raising wages = higher prices
paid vacation and leave = higher prices

a few dollars per hour increase in pay will be offset by the rise on prices

in other words, no change except for the increase in taxes paid to the federal government

Wrong, higher wages equals more robust tax base. More economic stimulas and activity. More revenue which means less taxes. Less need for social programs to provide for the health care of those living in poverty. Also means less taxes. A little less profits per corporation but you sound like you've been heavily indoctrinated by talking heads whom make 30 million dollars a year that work for multi national corporations.

Aren't you the same guy that said the partys are the same towing the corporatist line?

Never fails. Point proven.

Well isn't that just wonderful? Less taxes. I like that part. Less taxes for everyone, right? Although I'm not sure how the poor can pay any less than they do now. And the rich, well they always get out of paying any taxes right?

But that's all good cause McDonald's and WalMart raised wages.

One little tiny thing though............if everyone is paying less taxes in all directions all the time.....where's the $19Trillion gonna come from? You know, the part the country is currently underwater?

The worker pays 30 percent. The rich which run your party and game the system pay 10 percent. You do the math.

I did the math. Someone making $1M per year pays $100,000 in taxes. A person making $30k per year pays 8%.

http://www.taxformcalculator.com/tax/30000.html

Yep, that was easy math.

You said yourself higher wages means more revenue to the federal gov't.

You're contradicting yourself. Were you lying then or lying now.

Where is the contradiction? Higher wages = higher prices for goods. Higher wages will also equal more tax revenue for federal. I did omit the additional taxes the state will also receive from higher wages and taxes on higher priced goods and services.

In any event, it's still a wash. Minimum wage may go up but it won't change their lives because they will be paying more for products. The only beneficiary will be the government, ie the ones who shouldn't be given more money.

The above isn't worth comment but GerBear..........what about the $19T? Who is going to pay that off if everyone is paying less taxes because they're making more money?

Man up motherfucker and answer the question.

The last time the US paid off its debt was 1836. And there was no real reason to have done it then. We will continue to service the public debt of course. But we will never pay it off and neither will any other advanced economy.

Them rich DEMOCRATS with crooked smiles, milking the system, bullshitting poor black folk from broken homes and broken promises, giving wide-eyed white girls BC pills, and running to the bank, buying a beach house with an unobstructed view.
