WashingTone Locian - Most prolific poster?
Posted by: FFXU has gone to hell ()
Date: May 02, 2009 12:48AM

So looking back, it seems WashingTone Locian creates like fucking half of all the threads. Every day, all day, Washingtone is there with some political comment, some hidden insight that nobody has ever thought of before.

Doesn't his consultant job keep him busy? What type of consultant is able to spend 20 hours a day on FFXU?

What great insight and thought provoking threads have you started or taken part in?

Why do you care what WTL does with his time or the threads he starts here?

Come back when you have something interesting, funny or insightful to offer.

I sub out work to consultants all the time at work. They don't have to put in 40 hour work weeks, they get like 150 an hour, and if they don't want to do a particular task, they can say "no, i don't want to do that".

Those dudes got it made as far as I'm concerned

I wasn't aware the FFXU wasn't already hell.

It even has its own demon.

Yes. That's quite possible.

Yes. This is true.

Yes. But it only takes me about a minute to formulate an opinion and post on here. So if I do 20 or so comments a day, that's 20 minutes out of the day. I don't take breaks, per se, at the office. This is what I do for a break.

None. Because I don't.

I was busy doing something non-FFU related today (I'm actually watching the Caps vs. Penguins now). I don't mind the attention. It just underscores how meaningless your life is that you would spend this much time being obsessed with someone you claim is "a fucking loser."

Someone that truly had the intelligence and drive necessary to make 500k a year and live in a private community doesn't advertise that fact on some message board.

And if you have so much money, you can find a better hobby than random threads on some forum.

Narcissistic personality disorder

3. believes that he or she is "special" and can only be understood by, or should associate with, people (or institutions) who are also "special" or of high status.
4. requires excessive admiration
5. has a sense of entitlement
6. is interpersonally exploitative
7. lacks empathy
8. is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her
9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

First of all, it doesn't take exceptional intelligence or drive to make $500K a year. That's the problem with most folks. They kill themselves working for someone else at $60K a year hoping the "CEO Fairy" will come along and grant them their wish to be a millionaire. It doesn't happen that way.

1. You don't have to be super intelligent or super driven. You just have to start your own business focusing on a core competency. A big failure with most new business owners is they focus on what the want to do, not on what they are actually good or successful at.

2. Then, you have to be efficient. Too many new business owners want the expensive corner office and a staff of 100 people in order to feel "important." What that stuff does to most is suck money our of their own pockets. It's stupid and usually results in failure.

3. Keep existing clients happy. Too many new business owners spend their time trolling for new business instead of keeping existing clients happy. It is much cheaper to maintain your existing client base and to grow it than it is to constantly churn through new clientele.

As for "advertising on some message board," this information has come out in response to questions from folks on the board...primarily antagonists. In fact, most people who know me in real life would have no idea of my real level of income because I don't buy expensive shit to show off with.

So you are saying that because I own my own business as a consultant, that is "grandiose" and "self-important?" Actually, consultants are a dime-a-dozen in the DC-region, so you must work in a Target if you perceive it as "grandiose."

> 2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited
> success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

$500K a year is hardly "unlimited." I have no power. While I believe I am intelligent, I am hardly "brilliant." I've never claimed to be "beautiful," but I must confess, I am married to the ideal woman.

> 3. believes that he or she is "special" and can

Wow. Where to begin. I'm on a forum called Fairfax Underground that is populated primarily by 20-somethings living in their parents' basements. Maybe I should flash my FFU Secret Society handshake to the President the next time I see him.

> 4. requires excessive admiration

Yes. I require that you admire me. Gravis is falling down on the job. Where is my praise, Meep?

> 5. has a sense of entitlement

Where's my government cheese, bitches?

> 6. is interpersonally exploitative

You don't know me personally, so I'm not sure how you would come to this conclusion.

> 7. lacks empathy

This is true. I don't empathize with people who create their own problems.

> 8. is often envious of others or believes
> others are envious of him or her

I'm not big into envy. If someone envies me, that's their problem.

> 9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or
> attitudes

You got me there. But that's mostly affected for the benefit of the folks on this forum. If I was arrogant and haughty in real life, I wouldn't be successful in business.

Alias is YA. Its just the YA screen name is reserved for making personal attacks.

What is bizarre is why Ya sometimes writes out his screen name and other times signs in.

I think the Gravis stalker(s) are probably a hold-over from the "Uncle Fred" thread. As for mine, I think there is an Alias/Registered Voter thing going on here. They are bitter Obama won and that I was right.

Washingtone Locian,

You have been an important member of FFXU for some time. However, please learn not to feed the trolls, and never use offensive language.

I have just received a private message from a concerned parent that her 11 year old son was reading some of these posts.

If these personal attacks do not stop, more rigid rules will be enacted.

Thank you and good night.

Actually I had four private messages within minutes of making my posts. Two were quite offensive, but two were legitimate. I suppose in retrospect the private messages were a hoax.

Peace be with you Margie.

Mediator,

Perhaps instead of counseling us on responsible posting practices, you should have given them advice about proper parenting. Like, "monitoring your 11-year-old's use of the internet."

Any children currently reading this thread,

Watch the video below. Don't tell your parents, just imitate the behavior.

First of all, if some eleven year old is reading this site, it's the parent's responsibility to deal with it, not those of us that post. Clearly, after reading a few threads, it should be obvious that this isn't a kiddie site.

And exactly what rules are *you* planning to enact? And how? Did you suddenly become the moderator of FFXU?
