demokrats are funny. In the progressive forums, they are not inklusive at all. If you support any limitations on abortion you are chastized and thrown out. If you admit you are Christian you are isolated or made fun of. If you support any limitation on abortion at all you are kalled a konservadem and thrown out.
Republicans have a bigger tent, even though MSNBC says otherwise. There are pro-abortion Republicans. There are Republicans that put a lot of effort into campaign finance reform. And there are Republicans with differing views on immigration. Jeb Bush will have primary trouble due to immigration statements but it makes him more electable in the general election.
That is the "selling down the river" you must be referring too... the party coming around to getting an electable candidate through the TEA Party-influenced primaries. And that skares the living krap out of democrats so they try to make fun of it as above.
