It seems that if your a friend of the US you can develop and test all the missles you want. But let a country with historical problems with Japan shoot off a missle and everyone becomes unhinged.

It is true that our policy with North Korea is strongly diplomatic, while countries who conduct similar actions (Iraq) get invaded.

With that said, I am fully convinced most Americans know about 10% of the shit North Korea has done to its own people and the people of other nations over the years. Simply saying they are a regime with "historical problems with Japan" is a gross understatement.
