Big Teaparties tomorrow!!! I hope obama pays attention... he is a fucking n00b. Can you believe that in just 100 days he can draw such a large anti-tax crowd? It never got this bad under bush

Large crowd? Just a bunch of frustrated loosers...who by the way had their taxes mreduced recently. Republicans ideology against taxes is damaging this country...they ran up the deficit for 8 years without a single comment (thus the hypocracy)...and only now are concerned. Reducing the deficit will take spending cuts and new taxes..until then it is just a silly game.

These aren't "tax protests". Taxes went down for everyone making less than 250K. They are just bitch sessions for people who are bitter that McCain/Palin lost.

More power to'em. Go ahead and cry about whatever you want. It's just stupid to call it a tax protest.

Ain't that the truth. Taxes are at their lowest levels in decades and they are "protesting" now? And these are the same people that have been telling us for years that deficits don't matter. I don't get it--but then again, I don't really care.

Most of them in the DC protest will be Federal employees on annual leave.
They have excellent health care plans thank you.

That's the most ignorant statement I've ever heard. Federal employees (1) do not make over $250k/yr. and (2) are largely tax proponents as it supports their livelihood. You on the other hand are a douche.

Paul Begala was on Imus this morning. He pointed out (finally) that the Boston Tea Party was a protest against taxation without representation. The Republicans have representation...very BAD representation that LOST the last election.

Now these idiots are saying "it's about government waste." Where were these folks when Bush's Coalition Provisional Authority mysteriously misplaced $9 billion? Or when Blackwater went from a $250K a year government contractor to a multi-billion dollar contractor on no-bid contracts??

What else would you expect a left-winger to say? Of course he would like to make a stupid connection between today's protests and the Boston Tea Party. He is scared.

Actually, the Republicans made the stupid connection by calling them "Tea Parties." Not Begala.

Sorry but the term tea party came from Santelli not from Boston. Begala is trying to make a stupid connection, not Republicans.

I went to see George Allen's concession speech in Alexandria. The people there were pretty damn scary. A bunch of overweight rednecks who seriously believed that Al Qaeda somehow influenced the outcome of the election. It was obvious these people had time to volunteer because they were unemployed (probably living on welfare while bashing the government's support of people on welfare).

From Urban Dictionary...

2. Teabagger

1. n. A man that dips his scrotum and testicles into the mouth of another person. (as if dipping a tea bag into hot water)

2. n. A conservative activist who is so ignorant that they protest against tax cuts (that benefit them) by throwing tea into a river.

Earl squatted down and teabagged Betty Lou by dipping his nutsack into her open mouth.

Billy Ray cheered while he watched the teabaggers protest on FOX news.

3. teabagger

A conservative republican who protests against income taxes by rubbing their nutsacks in each other's faces.

Senator David Vitter is a teabagger who wants to cut government programs during a recession.

That's a drop in the bucket compared to government health care (ie medicare for all), cap & trade, and bailouts of GM, et al. Someone ultimately has to pay for this vast expansion of government. Tax the top 1% at 100% (instead of the current 50% including SE tax) and you still won't have enough tax dollars.

I dont what is funnier, this "rally" or the act of explaining to my foreign co-workers what tea-bagging it.

By all analysis the program was a bust. Several Anti-Bush rallies drew over 100,000 in one location. Even the most generous estimates for yesterday in DC was one thousand people. The problem was there was no clear message, no unity, and the Paultards took it over as their own cause. Shove in Sean Hannity's endorsement, and the association went from "hopefully" Main Street, to right wing radical nuts in no time. No wonder it failed.

The funny part in DC is they didn't have the required permit for the rally. Um, anyone know of a good "Community Organizer" the Republicans can use to take care of details like that in the future?

I agree completely. This HAD the potential to be something good if it was simply a non-partisan protest against large government spending. Sure, people might not agree with the message, but at least it would be respected by most.

Instead, I take a look at one of the rallies in TN, and I see signs like "Jesus is our lord", "Abortion is wrong", "Obama is a socialist". If these people want to spout that crap they should have taken it somewhere else. The conservatives hijacked this movement and destroyed any credibility it had.

LOL, I saw some pics of the DC event. One showed a man carrying a sign that said something about Obama's birth certificate, and another showed a sign that had something about Jeremiah Wright written on it.

That must've been one hell of scene going on down there!

I was at Tysons Mall yesterday, right outside Nordstroms...was that YOU, Linda L, ambling about the mall with your tinfoil Luftwaffe helmet on? Seriously, sort of a hot look, in a psycho-retard sorta way.
