I really cannot wrap my mind around bronies. I know they say it's the "friendship" message that makes it so appealing, but that can't be the only reason.

Even furries are less alien to me than bronies.

Bronies is one of those jokes that got out of control. Some social retards on 4chan thought it would be funny to pretend to like the show, but then it just spiraled out of control until nobody wanted to admit it was a joke. Then the asspie brigade caught on. They're the ones that are always nattering about the "great characterization" and "good writing." In reality, the show boils down to a pony who is really shy, and is called Shy Pony and shit like that, so that even asspies can pick up on what's going on and learn about human interaction. That and the fact that they eyes take up like 70% of their face, meaning its impossible to not make eye contact (something else asspies have a problem with), and this is the only thing that'll get them out of their hugboxes.

Really? I'm not a brony, but I respect them. They like what they want to like, and as long as they don't put anyone at harm, they're fine. There are lots of bronies/loyal fans that don't stray on that.

Also, there's a reason why MLP is better than other kids shows. It may have the stupidest ideas for characters ever, but at least it isn't a zombiefied interactive-child voice actors-super mega cliche-3D CGI-short episode-happy-go-lucky show.

Dude, it's a fucking children's cartoon show that these creeps are perverting. They literally go into stores and have sex with plush toys. Sure, the casual fans are okay, but there's a huge population of brony creeps spreading their revolting crap all over the internet.

No other children's show has this large of a cult following, and any little girl (you know, the intended audience) that makes the mistake of searching for MLP will inundated with a mass of disgusting pony fetishism.

Casual fans are adults who watch the show, just not nearly as deep in the fandom as the stereotypical brony is. But they're still watching a children's TV show.
