You don't have to be okay with it, but you do have to put up with it, because anyone who can actually do anything about it will utterly ignore your complaints.

Technically, probably, yes.

However, although this board appears to have rules, which some naive souls place considerable faith in, that appearance is an illusion.

For the "rules" on this board are so inconsistently applied that they're essentially meaningless.

The only rule is whatever you can get away with.

And the scope of what you can get away with broadens or narrows depending on Cary's regard for you.

In the case of outing, Cary said false outings are "deplorable and will result in a ban."

eesh admitted to making a false outing.

Has he been banned? Not so far as I can see.

So much for "rules" then.

The only rules are Ferguson rules.
