Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
I read all about it and think I was either a victim or just went crazy but only temporarily so it's a little weird and scary.
My thing is, all of the people who I've read about that have these similar "crazy" thoughts or experiences are just average people. They aren't people of any real significance, myself included so why on earth would we be "targeted"

Have you ever been diagnosed with schizotypal personality disorder?
Okay. So I haven't been diagnosed officially but after looking up everything that was happening to me I got a mixture of the whole mind control, microwave type thing as well as paranoid delusions, skitzo, etc.
Now, to make a long story short: one summer I was working at a small grocery shop a new guy came to work, who just seemed to latch on to me. We became friends but then a lot of weird stuff started happening.
He seemed to know a lot more about me than I ever told him and it scared me half to death, literally. That was just the beginning.
I suddenly couldn't recognize faces or of my longtime coworkers. I felt like everyone was talking badly about me.
Hanging out with the new coworker always seemed so phony, scripted, like we were playing parts of a roll.
I would go out in public and could feel like I could hear everyone's thoughts and they were all so negative.
When walking at night, street lights would go out as I neared them. I could hear when my neighbors turned on their television. I would get this little buzzing sound and tingly feeling in my head.
I felt my friends and family were plotting with the fbi to frame me for a murder.
I really believed that my thoughts were being controlled. I would feel compelled to go rob banks and hurt people but I would cry and scream and tell the voices NO. I never ended up doing those things thankfully.
After a few months of this, it all just stopped. I know none of this made much sense as it's hard to explain. But how do the thoughts just stop like that?
Most people with these thoughts have them for life. Did I experience some sort of temporary skitzo? Will it come back?
I have no idea what happened to that guy but I felt like he could read my mind and I always got bad vibrations from him.
Why does this happen? I know I'm crazy but what the hell brought this on?
This is really embarrassing and my family offered no help or support. They accused me of doing drugs.
I don't have any thoughts like this anymore and as scary as the whole mind control thing is I know it didn't happen to me but other people had very similar experiences and that scares me.
What causes people do believe such things? It's actually scarier knowing I couldn't trust my own mind.
I'd like to hear more about why you thought things seemed scripted, and why you thought there was a conspiracy to frame you. In other words, at the time what led you to those conclusions?
Ah yes, I read about dissociation. The things my mind was telling me to do was like things an evil me would do and I couldn't let the voices win.
So what I would love to know is what happens to those who lose? I know they either kill ththemselves or allow the voices to take over and carry out horrible tragedies but why?
Is medication a joke? My symptoms went away on their own after me just fighting with myself literally for months saying NO.
Is mind control real or all they all just crazy auicidal people who want recognition and to just take some people out with them?
The Myron May case is a strange one. Unfortunately I don't think he was being targeted either. Poor guy lost it. I think medication makes it worse for some people.
I'm pretty depressed and have bad these weird throbbing and spasms in my right forearm and lower stomach all week...suicidal thoughts come and go but I couldn't hurt my family like that.

I can hear electricity and I'm not crazy or paranoid. Electricity is all around us, right? It's everywhere.
It's hard to describe the sound, but visually, it's like a mirage in the desert, waves of a pulsating electrical hum in my head, not loud, mind you, or particularly upsetting, and I can easily ignore it, but when the power goes down during a storm or whatnot..... instant peace.

You're probably hearing actual machines, not the electrical currents in the air, and that's why you think it's common. But, how about this.... I can hear the blood in my veins and arteries. It's very quiet, not pulsating like the electricity, more soothing, like a gentle brook in the forest. Can you hear your blood?

Hanging out with that guy always seemed too predictable. I felt like everything we did we had rehearsed before doing or saying it. It's hard to explain.
As far as the murder, someone I knew passed away and it was under suspecion that they were murdered. The new guy at work seemed to pry into it a lot and my family started acting really strangely about it but looking back it was probably because I was acting like such a looney toon.

I can hear my blood pumping. it's a weird hissing noise along with my heartbeat, not at all like a babbling brook!
>I could hear when my neighbors turned on their television.
I used to have this problem. I could hear the flyback transmformers. Since flat screens don't need to drag an electron beam across the screen, this is no longer a problem.

I get it too. But I attribute it to observation bias. I only notice it when it happens.

Duh, this is not special either. It is especially loud after an orgasm or while exercising but still audible at rest if I slow down and listen to it.

I'm the one who compared the sound of the blood in my veins to a babbling brook, not that other "nothing is special but his orgasm" poster.
