your beloved democrat and liberal Gerald Connally ignored the impending wave coming from other jurisdictions that were proactive about trying to save their communities, but what did he care, he got his stepping stone to Congress.Another loser on the rolls of taxpayers payrolls whose voices go unheard.....

What's really scary is your claim to be a parent! If you think the hate you show will only be directed by your kids to the latest "wet back" groups..you are wrong...some of it will be directed right at you.

I have found many if not most Latinos to be very hardworking and law abiding people. There are some who are not but they should be dealt with separately.

Vince is an addle-brained idiot to equate everyone whose ancestors came to this country with the illegal immigrants that are such a problem today. He seems to be either a self-hating white or an illegal himself. From the looks of his poor English skills it could well be the latter!

Here's an amusing little story to brighten up your Sunday evening:
The tractor-trailer was packed with more than 70 immigrants from Mexico, Central America and the Dominican Republic. As temperatures skyrocketed inside the airtight refrigerator truck, the immigrants kicked walls, clawed at insulation, broke out taillights and screamed for help. Nineteen of the immigrants died from dehydration, overheating and suffocation during the smuggling attempt from South Texas to Houston. The trailer was abandoned at a truck stop near Victoria, Texas, about 100 miles southwest of Houston and the illegals inside left to die.

And then you complain about Islamists who regard Americans as 'less than human.'

The illegals that come here today are a better class then all previous immigrants

First, I am hesitate to post here because this thread started with a nonsensical racist screed.
But to imply the tragedy in Texas is the fault of Americans is simply wrong, at least if premised upon a collective view of the intent of the American people. If anything, our "nice" intent in not enforcing immigration laws permits these kind of awful things to happen. And conflating the tragedy to radical Islam is both irrelevant and nonsensical again. Through our "nice" policies, the Mexican government has their cheap and arbitrary social programs - illegal immigration and repatriated (however random) income - and can continue to ignore social programs for their own people. And by offering the promise of work in a shadow economy, we bring incentives for unfortunate people to come here.
These unfortunate people likely paid a huge sum in Mexico to smugglers to bring them across the border in horrific conditions. Rather than blame America, query whether the Mexican Government has ever brought murder charges against the smuggling ring? I doubt it. So let's look at the real source of corruption and malfeasance.
And illegal immigration - especially from Mexico - is a problem. But that is no excuse for racism. And racist statements make it easier for folks like Vince(1), likely a well intentioned person with a limited education and no understanding of economics, to continue with his emotionally laden and far from well thought out rants.
My point is that the racist idiots on here view Mexicans as sub-human. They are making the same 'thought' leaps as Ahmad Islam who rants and raves about 'America' and 'Jooz.'
To express the problem in Fairfax terms -- how do you expect $12/hr maids and day laborers to live in Fairfax, if not 12 to a house?
I doubt the Mexican government has brought charges against the smuggling ring. They may have problems even arresting said ring's members -- it seems the drug cartels are starting to take over immigrant smuggling.
(We could help by not having such a rapacious appetite for cocaine or by fast-tracking legalization programs to figure out which drugs, if any, can be legalized w/o a problem.)
If the crime wave hitting Mexico begins to affect non-Hispanics (so far, it seems they're smart enough to be kidnapping/killing drug dealers who run off with money or otherwise displease them), the current discontent will be a minor whitecap compared to the wave of discontent that will begin.

Formerhick76 - one of the most fallacious comments is that the folks who come here "do work that others won't do" or "how can they live on $12 hour"? The reason that wages are this low is that illegal immigration, concentrated as it is in areas like this one that illegally exploit the cheap labor, significantly depresses entry level wages. Raise the wages for maid work to 24 bucks an hour, and there will be any numbers of workers coming out of the woodwork.
Enforce against the entry of illegal labor into the market - and that can be done simply with a strong will to do so - no fences needed - and wages for entry level jobs will go up considerably - to their point of equilibrium. It will help minority citizens, too, who statistically need access to entry level jobs. Right now, illegal immigration is a subsidy for corporate and business and upper middle class interests, who frankly should not have the subsidy. And the left, who typically wants nothing to do with corporate and business interests, gladly supports it here because it brings pliant voters with it. But the average taxpayer is bearing the costs, including the significant negative externalities of crime, health care and educational costs. There is nothing nice or fair about illegal immigration.

If we started paying maids $24 an hour no one except the very wealthy could afford them. This would in effect eliminate the need for entry level labor except where it was exteremly necessary. Also people would turn to the black market which would be flooded with people who can't find a job and be willing to work for lower wages--THUS putting the real equilibrium price of basic labor back down to where it belongs--9-15 an hour. There will be illegal immirgants in this pool of black market laborers that have found a way around your "strong will" to prevent illegal immigration. It is a losing battle and what we can do is work with it rather than try to stop it.
Nehhhh, I speak English just fine, and it doesn't seem like White people have a problem when it comes to Asian or other foreign women knowing or understanding English (I even think White people like foreign women better with the less English they know [eg-me luv u lung time])
