And I'm wondering, who is this "Dater" character Picard keeps referring to? Is he related at all to Data?

Shouldn't his (its) name have been Datum? There was only one of him/it.

The first three seasons are campy, especially the season with Dr. Pulaski.

Fourth season started becoming more mature and sophisticated.
