Conclusion...GWB squandered the budget surplus handed to him by Clinton. It was GWB who set us on the road to a Medicare/Medicaid meltdown by expanding coverage but not paying for it. It was GWB who drained our economy by paying for a war by borrowing more money.

Obama's hands are tied...the crashing of the economy requires more deficit spending. Reform of health care is the fastest growing burden on the federal budget...fixing health care is mandatory.

Bottomline..no matter who is president...expect more taxes...or expect a collapse in your standard of living that you cannot even imagine.

Those who fail learn from history are doomed to repeat it. The first step is to recognize and agree on the history.

And do you have your head up your ass like most republicans do? Blinded by the ideology of no taxes....and bringing on a new era of dog eat dog. Did you benifit so much from the last 20 years of no tax policies that you are sure you will not be buried under the deficit debt?

Frontline is just another PBS leftist propaganda tool. When are you guys going to admit that government funded broadcasting is a politician's propaganda arm of the democrats.

PBS and NPR never, never, never show a balanced viewpoint....always leftist.

Suck it in leftists......It'll make you feel like your life is worth something. Keep the government monies feeding your addictions.

Yep everyone who thinks Bush/Cheney are putzes (including several GOP members) are leftist funded. Don't bother denying any of the facts presented. Just continue on with your appologists script.

PBS/NPR are the finest news organizations this country has left.

Vince, let me correct your sentence.

PBS/NPR are the finest left news organizations this country has.

Account for PBS/NPR broadcast time as leftist in the fairness doctrine censorship race. That would shut the lefties up.

Vince, you're an absolute blinded and brainwashed leftist. Anything you say is guaranteed to be extreme leftist so why even try to convince others that your opinion is worth anything more than a public school education.

Im not interested in convincing anyone of anything....and could care less if you think my opinion is worth a damn..so keep your opinions about me to yourself. I dont care to hear them and I am sure others could care even less. But PBS/NPR are not leftist...they merely report the facts.

PBS/NPR reports opinionated facts the same way talk radio reports opinionated facts. It's the facts that they conveniently "forget" to report that causes concern. They DO NOT report all of the facts.....and that's a fact.

Also, if you are so unconcerned about other's opinion of you then why do you continually express your opinion of others? Is it hard to take what you dish out?

And then DONO has to add the troll label to anyone that doesn't agree with his leftist ideals, feeling that it's his right to label anyone on this forum. You troll for the left.

Overall I thought the program was very interesting. It seemed to clearly outline the difficulties posed by balancing good governing and good politics...

Frontline provided a very positive view of Bush 41 on its program about the Gulf War back in 96 or 97. It was amazing how what Bush, Powell...and even Cheney....predicted back then would happen if the U.S. had gone into Baghdad in 1991. Too bad Cheney (and to a certain extent, Powell) forgot the history THEY had learned.

Just like Obama hasn't learned from history and is jumping headlong into Afghanistan. The hypocrisy is too easy....

Yeah. My understanding is Obama is actually considering pulling out of Afghanistan and focusing on Pakistan.

Justin..Justin...Justin...please tell us what you think the president should do about Afghanistan and then explain the hypocracy of the president's plan. Assuming you thing that putting more troops into Afghanistan is a mistake (I agree)...what is it you want him to do? Personally I'd like to have all our troops out of Afghanistan...Iraq...Europe...South Korea as soon as possible. It is time to dismantle the American Empire. Please expound on your opinion Justin.
