Why is that dude impersonating a US soldier by wearing a US canteen? Looks like WW2 issue. Oh, to live in Third World.

Everything these guys are wearing is surplus US. You can buy it at any online surplus store. The US gov. also dumps this stuff on all kinds of 3rd world shit holes as military aid.

The guns are not US made.

And these are not the US military.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency is the organization that handles a lot of surplus military equipment and gives it to foreign governments. It looks like the Army had a warehouse full of old BDUs and ALICE gear and pawned them off to a foreign country.

Most ex-Soviet republics and third world countries use the AK variant, the AKM.


Russia itself now uses the AK-74 chambered in 5.45×39mm.
