Assuming you are still allowed to have day to day operational control of this site, server and domain, and it is not being actaully kept afloat by the FCPD and other LEO entities for drug activities, suspect tracking and evidence collection, please pull the plug.

I would love to see several dozen bleary-eyed basement dwellers stumble out onto the streets and perhaps shower or refill their perscriptions for the first time in years once they realize all the electrons their life revolved around are gone.

You can always rebuild the site and just transfer the "Old pictures of Fairfax County" thread as a seed. Remove the anonymous posting, and link everything to Facebook or another traceable profile.

Almost every news/information site is dropping anonymous posting due to the endless stream of stupidity, mental health, scat, political, racial and sexist garbage.

Of course if your site is now just a shill for LEOs, then by all means, Cary on.

I'd like to say it's just a sick coincidence how many people on this site end up with criminal records AFTER they start posting here, but lets be honest, it's no coincidence

While I agree that would be a good idea, people would just make fake facebook profiles for posting on here. I know I have a burner account for posting on news sites that require Facebook.

I think light moderation is needed, racism and trolling is fine but if 1 ip is constantly doing it day in and out, ban them, or best yet "ghost the ip". The IP will post normally, but in reality only their IP will see the shit they post and no one else.

If dumbasses who are involved criminal activity post here and brag
then they brought it on themselves. Otherwise, this is the only
forum in Fairfax County that totally allows for the freedoms of
the 1st Amendment. If you don't like it you can always find another
forum.

If that is the case, I would expect this thread to be deleted or quickly pushed to page 33.

This site is like a wicker basket that fell into a septic tank. It could be cleaned but it would not be worth the effort and would still reek of human waste.

Criminal activity should always be persued, commensurate with the potential offense. I have no sympathy for posters that deal in child porn, heroin/meth trade, stalking, harassment, etc.

Not allowed. Chain of evidence rules would be violated.

Cary may only be allowed to do specific cleanup acts when permitted. Why do you think the sticky threads still persist long after the thrill has gone, and the General Forum has been allowed to turn into Off-topic? Cary 1.0 would have never allowed this.

I feel bad for Cary if he is being played. Probably have some charge hanging over his head keeping him from managing what was one a much better site for Fairfax. Probably had to turn over the admin logon and his account to forensics.

This site is at an all time low here. Cary has often let off-topic go to shit but General is pretty bad too now.

In a way, it looks like Misery is getting what he wants. Which is to destroy this site. Looks like he will win a decisive victory.
