CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT...The Who, November 1, 2015 @ Verizon Center
Posted by: King.Lerxst ()
Date: October 14, 2014 06:36PM

Tickets on sale NOW for Citi Card holders...tickets on sale to the general public on Friday, October 17th, 2014 @ 10am. Prices start at $49.50.

Hell, I'm old enough to remember when $49.50 was enough to get you a floor seat and a joint...and old enough to remember when The Who didn't need more than ONE YEAR to sell out a venue! WTF?!?!? If you need that long to sell out a venue, you're charging too much.

Well, see you all there...this will be my 7th time seeing them and my 5th time since the "Kids Are Alright" reunion tour in 1989...

The jihadists of course would say I've NEVER seen The Who as I did not see them perform live prior to September 7, 1978.

I saw the Who the year before John Entwistle died. They sounded good but looked very tired and old. When they walked across the stage to talk to each other between songs they reminded me of my grandfather, short unsteady shuffling steps

If you are missing half of your original members then you are a tribute band. Nothing more.

Overall? No....however, I do like the track "The Sea Refuses No River" which I've heard The Who do live once or twice.

It's strange...I consider The Who amongst my favorite bands but, I never really got into much of Pete's solo work. The only Pete album I really like is "The Iron Man" which is the album that everyone else dislikes...so, go figure.

1 years worth of interest on ticket sales is a fine chunk of change. I've been noticing this long lead time trend for years.

I saw the first farewell gig at the cap centre and feel they have been mailing it in ever since....guess I can't blame them, everybody needs a paycheck....but I really became disenchanted with them after I found out what a douche Pete really is....kinda feel the same way about Plant now....he knows he has us over the barrel, we will pay whatever exorbitant ticket price they ask and buy lots of swag but the faggot just keeps fucking toying with us (and Page & Jones who have been wanting it)....I so badly wanna say F you when a tour does eventually happen but I'll probably give in having never seen them before....at least I'll get three of them......HEY "King"...was that you I met at the gas station with the special vanity plates?

I saw them down in Greensboro a few years ago and they played that "Come to my Window" song by Melissa Etheridge for their encore, it was terrible, I think I'll pass this time around.

I do have vanity plates but it's not a reference to RUSH. I drive a '71 Chevelle SuperSport...

King, maybe you should go to the Who concert with Robb Spewak. He is a huge fan of the band. He could sport his Run DMC shirt like he did at the Goo Goo Dolls concert. I heard he has many NWA and 3rd Bass shirts for backups.

Verizon Center is the worst venue for concerts. Horrible acoustics if you get stuck in the upper levels.

Thats the thing with all of them Stones, Who, Police, Zepp, they are NOT what they once were but thats ok so are the times and so are we.

Rush although I fucking HATE their sound in concert now still are relevent as they still are technically jusat as good if not better then the past and they are still putting out new material, and not going after the blah blah blah years together cash grab
