6 months? Wrong. High used car prices will be with us for likely 2 years. The supply chain for chips for new cars and trucks is totally fucked and production of new vehicles will be stunted for 12 months at least. Moreover new cars suck anyway. Most burn oil faster than Deep Horizon and there is almost no right to repair on any of the hybrid and electric crap.

You are just going to have to pay more. I bought a used 04 with 80k miles Jan 2019 for 4200 bucks. That car, with 102k miles on it now is worth 8500 bucks. I bought a 08 sedan with 120k this past April for 5800 bucks it is now worth 9,000 bucks. Its a shit show.
