The NAACP has a point. If it's true that the only difference was race when banks made decisions on who gets what loan and rate then those banks were wrong, IMO.
But at the same time I don't support this lawsuit. I think the racism on the part of the guilty banks should be well advertised to the public so they can decide whether or not they want to frequent these banks. The majority of open-minded people will boycott the guilty banks leaving them with only the most backward and bigoted customers, and they will eventually fail. That is justice enough without getting the courts involved.
BTW- I have noticed a disturbing trend of racist comments on this board. I guess people speak their mind more openly when they are anonymous

In numerous studies it has been proven that the more a person relates to society through some on line comment board (like this one)..the less humanity...sympathy a person has toward others. It's as if people become self possesed...saying whatever is on their mind. The real problem is that these same people begin to see the real world through those same tinted eyes. We all could calm down a little on here....stop with the fould language...racist remarks...pictures of animals being tortured...and just blame the katholic church or the republikan party for everything....just kidding!

The banks didnt discriminate against minorities in giving out home loans.
They gave EVERYBODY loans they couldnt afford if they would sign on the
dotted line. They even gave loans to illegal aliens. No W-2 or credit
