Imagine in 1986, the Army acquired a Humvee. This Humvee deployed to the Invasion of Panama in 1989, was then sent to the Persian Gulf War, and later shipped to Somalia where it was hit with an RPG. After being repaired, it was driven in garrison by 30 different soldiers until it was sent to Afghanistan in 2002. There, it got into a crash with a truck driven by the Taliban. While it was in Afghanistan, a soldier got food poisoning and vomited inside the Humvee. After being wiped down, it was sent back to the US where it sat in storage for 10 years. In 2012, it was classified as surplus, and was donated to the Iraqi Army. Since 2012, the Humvee has been driven by 50 different soldiers, has not had its oil changed, and is running on bald tires.
Imagine how used up and rough that Humvee must look. That is what Megan looks like in this picture.
