Most PETA members would find this agreeable. It's the animals that are kept in cages and all the other abusive shit like that that they don't like.

They are against people having pets. They think animals should be in the wild.

That's a small fringe. Most simply want ethical treatment for animals and free range chickens and shit.
Hate to be the one to bring politics into it, but that's like looking at the tea partiers and saying they're all racist. Small fringes shouldn't represent the whole, but it sucks because they often do.

Lake Trout are a non-native species that undermine the natural species in North American lakes, to include native trout.
The National Park Service actually requires anglers in certain National Parks to kill/keep any Lake Trout when caught. Pretty sure those are the rules in places like Grand Teton and Glacier National Park.
PETA (the animal lover group) would probably approve of this policy.
So too would the other PETA (People Eating Tasty Animals).
