Longchamp French crystal once a year sale 66% off!

Following the suggestion to have a FU deal forum, I am excited to participate.

Macy's has all Longchamp crystal on sale today and tomorrow. 66% off. A set of four wine glasses is $9.99, regularly $30.00. a crystal water pitcher is, again, $9.99.

All are made in France. As we know, Longchamp is not Waterford or Baccarat,but it is a descent brand, and if you combine, you can get

8 crystal non stemmed red wine glasses
8 crystal stemmed white wine glasses
8 crystal stemmed water goblets
1 crystal water pitcher

Total about $70.00, compared to $210.00 regular retail.

I would jump on this deal but I already have a full set of Waterford glasses. It is a shame I have no weddings coming up, because the set above would make an excellent gift.

If you can, jump on this sale, and report back what you got!

That is just cut glass, not real crystal. If you read the description it clearly says "lead free." They don't have the ring, sparkle, or weight of real crystal. Crystal D'arques started making that cheap shit about 10 years ago. The real versions are 24% lead crystal. Save your money and to to Dollar Tree in Vienna.

You are correct, but the industry as a whole is moving away manufacturing lead crystal over safety, health, and production concerns. Pretty soon, if not already now, lead crystal will not be manufactured at all.

Will this move make old lead crystal more valuable?
