Some LOL funny shit in this article:

http://www.dcexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/YeasandNays/Joe-the-Plumber-If-elected-Id-slap-my-colleagues-40302237.html

After describing how Joe will hit fellow legislators who disagree with him, comes my favorite line from the article:

"Finally, he said he's going to be announcing a plan regarding the tax system next month."

Fuckin a', man....

Can you imaging how retarded the 5 people that purchased his book must be?

This guy is an idiot and has nothing useful whatsoever to say. What happened to his career in music? Last I heard some dopey record company was about to sign him and put out a CD.

Attention whore!

I wish I had known. I would have gone down there and asked when his album is coming out.

Something tells me you will see this guy on Celebrity Rehab or Celebrity Apprentice or some show like that in the next year or so.

I know we fairly & unfairly bash the GOP on here, but seriously, for them to elevate this nimrod as a spokesman is just totally **RIDICULOUS**. What the hell are these people thinking? If I were Michael Steele I'd be putting as much distance as possible between the party and this idiot. Ditch this stupid fucking gimmick already and start taking shit seriously!!

I think the GOP has ditched him. He isn't going away. I fully expect to see his profile rise again in 2012, causing further embarrassment to the GOP.

Yeah really. You know you got serious PR problems when you put someone like John Bolton on the agenda to talk about international relations.

It's almost too funny to believe. I was almost waiting to see Cheney's name on that list.

Meep is spot on. Let's talk about the non existent "Fairness Doctrine" and bring on Tucker Carlson and Roger Hedgecock. The entertainment value, alone, of this farse is most likely worth the price of admission!

Considering how Bobby Jindal lied to the American people about his experience around Katrina, and proved he has no f'ing clue about how dangerous a volcanic erruption can be, let them all colown around as much as possible. Please don't tell them most Americans stopped taking Republican crap serriously after Rush's Michael J Fox remarks.

Joe the Plumber operated without a license, didn't pay his taxes and walked out on paying a hospital bill. The only difference between him and the crooks on Wall Street is about $30 million in income. Other than that, they have the same ethics.

She may have written a crappy book that didn't sell well, but at least she had a position that justified a book being written. What the hell has Joe the Plumber ever done but cheat on his taxes, skip out on bills and make racist remarks to the press?

What's really funny about "Joe the Plumber" is that he has no problem doing the same shit politicians do, given the chance. Who the hell is watching his kids? How much did CPAC pay him to speak? Is he paying taxes on THIS income?

Yeah, if working with shit and broken pipes is such a great Frank Capra/Norman Rockwell occupation, why the fuck is he so quick to get away from it?

Politicians are career professionals. It is painfully obvious when one sees "regular" Joes try and do this and fall flat on their face (Palin, Wurzelbacher, Shehan, others..). Not as easy (or fun) as it looks.

"I miss plumbing tremendously."

That's like saying, "I miss my dead wife tremendously," or, "I miss my college days tremendously," or, "I miss Paris tremendously."

Hey, McFly. If you miss plumbing, pick up a fucking wrench and crawl under someone's sink. It's not that hard.

Maybe he should have fixed the plumbing when he was over in Iraq. Remember when that soldier was electrocuted in the shower because of the crappy work KBR did putting it together?

There were a few electrocutions like that. That's what happens when you hand out millions of dollars in no-bid contracts to companies like KBR, who turn around and sub it out to unqualified, unmonitored, foreign workers.... that way they can just sit back and enjoy gigantic profits with very little risk or responsibility (aka neoconservative socialism)

So I just remembered Joe was very ready to buy a plumbing company and was coming up short because of Obama's proposed taxes. Has he made enough money yet to do it? I for one wish he would fulfill his dream so I dont have to see him in the media. He is not attractive, he articulates only the most banal anti-government rubbish and I am sure the folks back home need a good plumbing company (truly one of the modern world's most important service industries - seriously).

He could help people get rid of s*&^t instead of providing it...

Hahaha, from a blog about Joe The Plumber's recent DC appearance:
=================================================

The only heat generated by Joe's appearance last night came when
a young man named Jabari Zakiya recounted great moments in American
racism (slavery, annihilation of Native Americans, segregation,
etc.) and asked Wurzelbacher if the "hegemony" of the white man in
America is "doomed" now that five states and the District of
Columbia have majority minority populations.

Joe replied that he believes "our American heritage is being torn
apart" by flag burners, critics of the military, and those who mock
Christian values. He expressed his admiration for patriotic
immigrants, and said he dislikes terms like African American and
Asian American ("We're all Americans," he said). For some reason,
he concluded by saying, "America has always been a kick-butt,
take-names kind of country."

More ignorance from Joe the Plumber and the Clueless Right.

George Washington only won a couple of key battles during the Revolutionary War. During most of the war the Continental Army was constantly on the verge of collapse. And while the Founding Fathers respected Washington, nobody would have considered him a military genius. And, we ended the war deeply in debt to the Dutch.

We basically lost the War of 1812. If the British really wanted to re-take the United States, they could have.

Sam Houston thought the Texans who died at the Alamo were idiots. He wanted them to evacuate the Mission because he needed the men and their weapons. It was a combination of Santa Anna's arrogance and Sam Houston's dumb luck that resulted in the Texans defeating the Mexicans at San Jacinto.

There were several times during WWII that it looked like the U.S. might not defeat the Germans and Japanese. The U.S. didn't defeat the North Koreans and we didn't defeat the North Vietnamese.

America is a great country, but to say it is a "kick-ass, take names" country shows a lack of understanding of history.

You know, with all the hoopla around this JTP douchebag for 6 months now, its interesting to me that noone has ever peeled the onion on his basic premise--that he was about to buy a business that would make him an Obama "tax victim". He was a PLUMBERS HELPER, and a recent hire at that. I'd peg his salary at around $30-40K, and that might even be generous. Just as likely that he was hired as a $10/hr wrench carrier.

He'd been hired by some old codger plumber, who entertained his fantasies by talking about "taking over the business someday". An old plumber codger with a tiny business that most likely had very little value at all, since any small business purchase valuation would heavily discount the direct labor of the owner in any purchase price. Its probably safe to say that the CURRENT owner wasn't even close to the $250K that poor old JTP was "worried" about; most likely, the guy had to work his ass off to get close to a six-figure take home in any tax year. $100k is far less than $250K, if my math is correct.

JTP would have had to 1) get a good deal on valuation and payment terms, probably over a 7-10 year term 2) found a way to double, triple, or quadruple the size of the business (hard to do, since we know now how stupid he is) and 3) accomplish #2 by effectively taking away business from other, more established (read: less stupid) plumbing businesses in the area to come anywhere close to reaching a $250K take home. Let's call that unlikely, at best. Severely unlikely to be accomplished under 4-8 years of an Obama presidency.

NO plumber's helpers need a license (only the owner does) yet that's the issue everybody siezed on. And while JTP's ability to do that is certainly in question (see above re: stupid), it's probably the least of the hurdles he'd have to overcome to get to $250K. I'd have put his chances for all of the above to happen at close to the same odds of hitting the Mega Millions.

Oh, and, just for the record, I wouldn't want him around my kids either.

Joe the Plumber didn't renew his license because he was avoiding the tax man. I'm sure he realized if he applied for the license the state wouldn't have processed it and would have hit him with a lean.

Obama's problem is he actually vetted his nominees. If Bush had done the same, we wouldn't have had ol' Brownie as head of FEMA.

First, if he vetted properly, why was he sending so many tax dodgers' names to the Senate? I take it he is ok with those in power not paying taxes? Second, you can vet all you want and come out clean but still be incompetent. BTW, it is not as if Geithner is lighting it up at Treasury. He seems more lost than Brownie.

Thats why Obama has had how many cabinet nominees be forced to withdraw? Vetting with what? A committe from Melwood?

The tax issues were brought out by the vetting. Obama's initial mistake was to take people at their word when he announced their nominations.

As for Geithner, I suggest you read the most recent economic news. There are signs of recovery.

The vetting process brought out the tax problems. Obama's problem was he started out announcing the nominees before the vetting process was done. I think he has since corrected that.

Simple rule - first you vet, then you nominate. It isn't a difficult concept to follow.

It was an intitial mistake REPEATED multiple times. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice......

Signs of recovery are not a recovery. The fact of the matter is that the economy is still in a very vulnerable state. Geithner's response thus far is to announce the existence of plan but never share details. As for these so called "signs of recovery" tell that to the 600,000+ new unemployed people each week since this Administration came to power.

You guys can't stand the fact that Obama is succeeding at cleaning up the GOP's mess. Have a nice time in the political wilderness for the foreseeable future.

Uh, yeah we did release the plan for all to see. Try Google.

On that note, I saw the Republican's plan.

How many pages was that thing? 30? LOL.

First, show me the success. Second, not a GOP follower. I go to the wilderness to camp, not politics. What I can't stand are complete morons wearing their rose colored glasses distributing talking points constantly. These "signs of recovery" arguments are distracting and allow are so called leaders in Congress to look past the current economic mess and shift their attention to climate change, healthcare, etc. This economy needs serious stability and growth before they should be allowed to shift gears to fulfill their non-economic agenda items. Enjoy wandering around in a daze praising the leader while the economy continues to struggle.

So what do you suggest? Nationalizing the banks, which would destroy the chances of any private sector investment in the banking industry? Or letting all these banks fail, which would destroy the chances of any private sector investment in the banking industry?

Either scenario puts the country in a decade-long economic crisis. Yes, we may spend the next few years with an anemic economy. But it is better than having another Great Depression.

You can't simply put an arument this complex into such a limited box as you propose. Either you are extremely stupid or extremely disingenuous. Control spending - aside from mandatory spending, limit it to true economic expansion, both short and long term. Do not create long term entitlement programs until stabilization has occurred. Do not propose cap and trade until stabilization has occurred.

How is the economy still struggling? The Dow and Nasdaq are in the black now.

Only fucking unrealistic idiots expect 20% returns year-over-year.

The fact that our economy is shrinking is a result of long overdue correction from your failure-in-chief, GWB.

Wow, retards CAN use computers. I offer you my utmost congradulatory sentiments. Now, if you are srupid enough to believe that the stock indices are the only indicator of economic performance, a dead Herbert Hoover has more brain activity than what is going on in your cranium (cranim means head btw).

Only fucking unrealistic idiots (to use your parlance) evaluate overall economic performance by looking only to the markets.

Not a bad point, but that certainly is not the only reason for this crisis. I could explain it to you, but it is readily obvious it would be a complete waste of time. Now, if you are through with your campaign regurgitation, you might want to ask one of the helpers that wipes your ass for a copy of the WSJ or FT. Even if you only look at the pictures, you will come off at least twice as intelligent as you do now. Good luck!

Oh look, another smug, sanctimonious know-it-all know-nothing on the internet.

Imagine that.

Now carry on.

You do realize that you just erased any shred of credibility by making this statement alone, right?

The fact remains that the economy is not struggling at the same clip as it was in the previous quarter, nor is it performing poorly as in the same period from a year ago.

Now put away your pessimism and quit being such a goddamn pussy.

We figured out where you live. It's nice.....and it suits you.

I haven't seen this reported anywhere, but it seems that Joe the Plumber's much ballyhooed website has died a quiet death. I check in on secureourdream.com, the web site for Joe's "watchdog" organization every once in a while just for kicks and for the last several weeks it has just displayed this error message:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'sodvisuplay'@'97.74.144.191' (using password: YES) in /home/content/t/e/x/texas1964/html/index.php on line 8

Well, the way the wingnuts tell it the country is in the process of being destroyed so I'm not sure that's it.

Maybe it's another bill Joe decided not to pay. I just thought that was his medical bills, licensing fees and taxes.

Meghan McCain did an interview last week and dropped this gem:

"Joe The Plumber- you can quote me- is a dumbass."

LOL, that's great

Meghan McCain is just about the only Republican these days who makes any sense at all. I'd love to hear her honest take on Sarah Palin.
