As far as I am concerned a person doesn't give up their right to take advantage of a business opportunity simply because that person happens to be related to a politician holding office. The issue with Ivanka and Jared isn't that they are cashing in. The issue is they are cashing in while still exercising certain semi-official positions in the administration. If that wasn't the case, then if Joe Smith off the streets could legally do it, then so could the president's daughter and son in law. Same rule applies to Biden's son.

Exactly! Eric Trump getting millions of dollars in business deals leads many to speculate that wealthy business man are getting favors that aren't in the interest of the American public.

In the link, the story says Trump's entire organization generated $450 million in revenue. That is before costs are factored in (upkeep, staffing, taxes, etc). It goes on to say that the Kushner's declared $36 million last year, of which the majority was from the revenue of the Trump organization's International Hotel in D.C., which Ivanka has a large stake in. There is nothing in the article about making money from or in Israel. The only reference to Israel is that it was published in an Israeli website/newspaper.

So the OP lied about who made what and what was made and how it was made and where it was made. But other than that, an excellent thread. lutz
