WASHINGTON (ABC7) — A search is underway Tuesday for a negro who is wanted for the deadly shooting of another negro man (with a female name) a day ago in Northeast Washington.

Photos released by investigators show a suspect wearing a mask and an "I Can't Breathe" t-shirt with black pants and holding a gun.

Officers responded to the report of a shooting Monday in the 3900 block of Clay Place. Police found 27-year-old Senquea Whitley suffering from gunshot wounds.

Whitley died at the scene of the shooting and was transported to the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner.

Metropolitan Police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call 202-727-9099 or text 50411. Police currently offer a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to an arrest or conviction of any person or persons responsible for any homicide in D.C.
