Florida Police Department to Hire Social Workers for Non-Violent Calls

I suggested this months ago and think it may be a good plan, time will tell.
Bringing a government thug with a weapon who is known to wreck homes rather than build them (police) to a marital argument is certainly a way to make things turn worse (vastly provenly).
It's known a neighbor knocking on the door isn't always enough to for a bad dispute to quiet. It's a question if a social work can do better and if the social worker will be almost wholey safe which is a requirement.
One could say, send 5 un-armed goons wearing white, but that would go bad.
A flash bang grenade wouldn't be a bad idea either, as they are about as explosive as are marital arguments.

If it works, worse confrontations sometimes are in a domestic dispute. If the Social Worker has a different method and it is effective. Good! First Social Worker who gets shot and the program is out in the trash.

And if the intervention turns bloody, "He said this!!" "I did not..SLAP!! and the guy slapping is like 300lbs and the Social worker is 130lbs soaking wet???What happens next, and then they guy sicks his Pit bulls on the Social worker!!!!!What happens next1!!!!!!
