I actually prefer the metric system, especially for cooking and baking

That sign is misleading because the US does use the "metric system".

Husband’s wiener is over 13 centimeters long. Sounds bigger with metric system so, let’s keep it.

Nautical miles and feet are standard units for aviation in the entire Free World. The United Kingdom has speed limits in miles per hour, and miles printed on road signs.

Yes the sign is misleading.
