I think my favorite was back in 06/07 when Inka used to just come on here and fight with everyone. Those were some fun times. And then it would get funnier because YA would jump in and entire threads would just become retarded 3-way battles that would last for months.

I fondly remember a poster by the name of RATZ AZZ. I'm guessing he recycled that name into something else.

Alias is in a class by himself. Re-read the stuff that happened last spring. He even went to great lengths by purchasing multiple anonymization services to stop from getting banned and Cary even wrote some kind of script to prevent him from posting. I think the only reason he's still able to post is because you'd have to block half the Internet in order to stop him.

He was seriously 1,000 times worse last spring and summer, run a search for user names like "Alias", "Moderator", "milktoast", "CrazedMod", etc. Serious fuckheadedness.

He actually used to come on here under the name "Moderator" and pretend to be a forum admin. It created so much mayhem Cary ended up removing the ability to register a name that included the word "moderator" in it. And a new rule about mimicing other user names was put into effect because of the shit he was doing.

personally, i would be ok with that but i think he gave Alias one final chance to not completely fuck up. he may also be hiding behind AOL (he's blocked my user tracking device :P) which boils all the AOL users down to a handful of IP addresses. however, there are only two AOL users actively on this site, one of them being vince, so im all for blocking braindead AOLers.

A troll is someone who posts solely for the purpose of making inflammatory remarks. I haven't offered an opinion on every thread. But I've seen Alias comment on every thread I have commented on. In fact, TheMeeper, WashingTon-Locian, MrMephisto, RestonPeace, dono, KeepOnTruckin and a whole bunch of others comment on the same threads. How am I any different?

If you disagree with what I say, fine. But I'm not doing anything differently than most of the other people who are active here.

As far as being smug. The only person I've been "smug" with is Junes, and that's only because she's a bigot and terribly misinformed.

That being said, I'll gladly second the nomination of myself for "know-it-all". However, I will warn you, I don't know it all. If it seems like it to you, maybe you are insecure about your own intelligence?

You're confusing knowing what is common among forums or what is unique to a forum with knowing particular features or personalities or quirks within a forum that one wouldn't know without being intimately involved with that forum. What you mean is that I know particular things about this forum that others don't, when what I know is observable comparative to other forums.

Read what I said again. Being called liberal for not being 100% in line with the message of Rush and Bill O'Rielly is UNIQUE to this forum, not a closely held secret, but something that I haven't experienced elsewhere. I haven't been called liberal on other forums for disagreeing with them.

Actually, I've been posting on here for almost a week. I found this forum doing a search for fairfax county arrests on google, because I have a neighbor who is always telling me about people in our neighborhood who got speeding tickets or drunk in publics, etc, and I was curious to see for myself what my neighbors are up to. Then I started reading some of the outrageous BS people are saying on here and well, I have a strong opinion, so I just had to put my two cents in, you know?

Anyway, I'm already picking up on the trends in this forum, which is what you are implying anyways. I've noticed that a lot of posts with a similar style to yours are posted under fake names. I haven't figured out whether those are people messing with you, or if those are your posts under different names. It looks like several people are doing the same thing or are being mocked by others. Give me time and I'll figure out the patterns. Everyone has their own style of writing, certain words they spell improperly all the time, etc.

I mean, I was posting under different names at first, too, since that was what I see to be common practice here anyway. I usually just made up stupid things relative to the thread, like "UBL" or "Let them create Havoc" when I posted a comment about Fox News reporters supporting terrorist acts in Iran, etc. I see lots of comments like that on this forum.
