Why is Jared Kushner trying to goad the President into releasing criminals from prison?

Trump ran on a platform of bringing back law & order to America. He’s fundamentally stuck to that position. Wants to be tough on crime, arrest treasonous Hillary, arrest rioters, etc. Kushner however keeps pushing the radical leftist agenda of releasing criminals before their sentences are complete, granting pardons and clemency. What’s the liberal Kushner up to?
