Should we celebrate?
He has accomplished so much this year. He got laid off. He took a couple of online classes at a Community College. He now has an excuse for not getting booked.
Even last December, he was trying to warn to beware of the Chinese Virus!

He gets almost that monthly from his SSI and Medicaid premium.
Meade receives more government handouts than anyone I know.
(retired folks earned their social security, Meade did not earn his SSI)

How would the family dynamics work out?
I assume karen would have to be the breadwinner. Attorneys make more $ than dancing cows or one-gig-a-year coffee shop musicians. Would meade be content being a househusband? Would he like the fact that karen , at least figuratively, wore the pants in the family?
Also, what about food? Karen is Jewish and a vegan, so would not like the kind of crap meade likes to eat. Meade would gripe that karen's preffered rice and lentils constitute 'third world' food.
Would karen pressure meade to convert to Judaism?

Karen is bankrupt so unfortunately she is not going to be a breadwinner. The two of them will live off various forms of public assistance in Meade's father's house. However Karen does play the piano and sing, so she and Meade can pursue a joint career in the music business. Karen can put her legal skills to work as a talent agent and signing contracts for the two of them. Perhaps she can make money for them on the side by suing people who have infringed on Meade's copyrights and defamed Meade.

and she is therefore still earning a salary. She just doesn't bring any financial assets to the table, but hey neither does meade.
I don't know what the alimony/child support situation is, but it's possible they will get a few bucks from Phil.
In any case, karen will be making a much more significant economic contribution than meade. This puts her in charge, which meade may object to. She will make meade eat healthier, which is good, She will make him stop buying shit he can't afford on ebay, which is also good. Being a liberal harridan, she will not allow meade to attend any more right wing rallies or fundraisers. This is probably also good. Karen does not like guns, but a gun is not a thing meade should own anyhow.

Adults who are claimed as dependents on someone else’s tax return are not eligible for the $500 bonus or their own $1,200 check. This includes adults with disabilities.
