There no question that the US spends the most on it's military beside Russia and China.
Bush and Obama set in place the paybacks for NATO. Trump is just following their lead but not getting as good of results.

We believe that Trump is putting America first. We think he's right at least 80% of the time in what he does. We believe Trump doesn't give a shit what the rest of the world thinks about him. Trump is nowhere near as bad at lying as Hillary is and her lies cost American lives.
We understand that no one is perfect. Not Trump. Not Obama. No one. But Trump has fulfilled more of his campaign promises than any president in our lifetimes. So for the 63.5 million voters who supported him, he's doing almost exactly what we put him in office to do.
