2016 was a harsh blow, that is for certain. When your opponent is not only lucky, but gets help from outside sources, and then you lose the election despite getting 3 million more votes, it is going to be annoying. But elections have consequences, and Trump was declared the winner, so there we are.
Fast forward to 2018. The Dems won, and took the House. Again, elections have consequences, and the American people knew exactly what we would do when we took the House. Overall, it gives us a base from which we can 1) seriously fuck with Trump on the impeachment/investigation level, as well as 2) see to it that he has no money for the rest of his term. Granted, this is not ideal, and my personal preference would be that Putin never got involved. But our current President does not love America enough to enforce our sovereignty, and we will just have to go get us a new President.
So yeah, 2016 sucked. But things are getting better, which is why you are posting that fucking gay picture so goddamned often.
America was always great, dipshit.

In 2018 Trump expanded his senate advantage which rammed through Brett.
Plus RBG will be replaced in months

GOP will pick up Alabama and Michigan in 2020. Might lose Maine. Barring a GOP meltdown (always possible), they will retain the Senate. And 2022 favors the GOP as well. As long as Trump can win reelection, the GOP will have seated around 65% of the federal judiciary by the end of 2024. And RGB, Thomas and Breyer will all be replaced. That will leave SCOTUS with two libs, one moderate (Roberts) and 6 conservatives. No more 5-4 decisions for a while.
