He is simply too weak to slap his wife and son into line. I don't see him as evil; more as trapped in a bad situation. What should have been a happy retirement for him has been ruined by his son - the fights, the angst, the SWATting, the google-fucking, embarassing stories in the media, courtroom drama, legal expenses, the stabbing, the continual presence of lizzie in his house, miz spazzing out and destroying his car with a sledge hammer, the list goes on...

For fifteen years Richard taught private trumpet instruction with Melodee Music of Sterling and the Parkview Music Enhancement Program. He had several trumpet students selected as semi-finalists in the National Trumpet Competition which is held on an annual basis at George Mason University. Richard started playing the trumpet in fourth grade in Denver, Colorado. He has studied with Mr. Mark Schirllo, U.S. Marine Band and Mr. Paul Lindsay, U.S. Navy Band. It was at Mr. Lindsay’s encouragement that he started the Loudoun Brass Quintet in the fall of 1998.
Richard stepped down as solo trumpet with the Loudoun Brass Quintet beginning of 2017.
Richard L. Moreno was born in Colorado, and is married to Sharon (41 years) with three children Andrew (33), William (30), and Joanna (27). Richard has a background in accounting and financial management, and he retired from the U.S. Treasury Department in 2004. He currently works on a part-time basis with the Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA.

Bullshit. Richard Leroy Moreno is just as culpable as William and Sharon. Richard was a party to the frivolous lawsuit, and he signed the complaint to charge eesh in the horn-honking incident. Richard has earned his fate.
Richard is a piece of shit and deserves a prolonged, painful, lingering, and expensive death.

Yes, in a greater sense, tootguy failed as a father for raising such a helpless, narcisistic blob, but for the last few years I think he's just been swept along with his son's and wife's drama.
Even lizzie's rap song acknowledged that at this point, miz's dad is primarily a tragic figure. Kind of like Nels Olson in Little House on the Prairie - a decent enough guy saddled with a horrid family.
