Looking to buy a home and also in the market for home insurance (yawn). Anyone have this insurance? Are the more known companies better?

I'd go with a larger company, I had a little company like that cancel my policy over little b.s

Had this insurance for over 12 years, then a tree fell on our home. They did everything they could to worm their way out of honoring the policy. They eventually ponied up for the damages after hounding them for several weeks, but we only got half what the policy called for. They use incompetent agents and the adjuster never answers phone calls. Look elsewhere for home insurance. State Farm isn't a bad bet.

Thanks for the recommendations and opinions. I'm in search of a decent car insurance company too. I was lucky to bump into a list of car insurance companies which are very cheap and trustworthy. Do you know any of them? Are they really reliable or it's better to continue searches? Thanks in advance.
