Ancient Rome in the 5th century was much like America today. A proud nation with much history and many accomplishments, but essentially on its last legs. Germanic tribes flooded in and the various Germanic peoples settled what remained of the empire and set up their own kingdoms.
The same thing is happening right before our very eyes. Rome had Theodosius who tried in vain to stem the tide, but to no avail. America has Trump, a very very poor man's Theodosius. The results will be predictable once again. These people will come to America and feast on its rotting corpse and form their own small nation-states and kingdoms. That's okay though, because that's how history works. I've already got a golden parachute for my family all worked out. New Zealand, here we come!!
