Seriously, if anyone thinks this country is anywhere in the neighborhood of socialist (as a whole), they need to take some political science classes, and then travel just a little. People who actually believe that are clueless extremists.

And this is coming from a guy who still votes republiKan more often than not.

It's funny how all these dummies who cry "socialism" seem to ignore the gigantic corporate welfare program Bush & Co. set up over in Iraq for the past 5 years- billions and billions of dollars of no-bid contracts. I guess they were just smart enough to do it on foreign soil and pawn it off as some kind of "national security" agenda to people who were dumb enough to believe it.

I seriously wonder how many NoVA McMansions we collectively bought for all the CEO's and VP's who lined up to get all those free handouts over in Iraq?

Our paper money isnt real. It is created out of thin air with no backing other that people's willingness to pay interest on borrowed money. In the case of massive default its game over my friends. Call government help what you will but we are all going to need to rely on each other to make it through this crash.

After the collapse of our money we need to go back to the gold standard so chimpy can once again champion free market capitalism and the conservatives can go back to spending all our money as they have the last 8 years...

A perfect description of the Wall Street...Car manufacturing...bank bailouts all sponsored by republikans.

Now that Obama has focused some of that money on middle class, working people all you wanna-be bankers are crying foul. How dare workers get a slice of the bail out money! Keep all that money with the beltway where white copllar welfare recipients can get a big chunk! How dare it go to the workers!

You all sound like the kings and queens and royalty of old...the ones that either did or should have had their heads seperated from the rest of them.

This last hullabaloo over socialism is nothing more then the next iteration of the republikan lie campaign. They wil keep plucking at our fears until the hit a chord...if they have to yell fire in a theater..they will.

So if hard work can no longer earn a better lifestyle what is my motivation to work hard or even care about the quality of the job I do? This a not some snotty rhetorical question. I am really looking for an answer here. Maybe I was sick that day in school or something.
