god loveth you unconditionally

Remember back in the day, when hard bible thumpers would claim that AIDS was god's way of targeting homosexuals (and some probably still say so today)?

isn't that an inefficient way to do that?

In that:

1. Lesbians are homosexuals...probably real low chance of them catching AIDS
2. Not a guaranteed method...condoms, etc...
3. The collateral damage fallout was HUGE...hemophiliacs were catching it by the thousands...(do you think god said "ooops, didn't see that coming"?)

if god really wanted to target homosexuals, why not just have them explode when they had gay sex...or better yet for some of you real bible thumpers, explode if they even THOUGHT about it? This would probably make bible thumpers happy, for regular folk like me, this is a disgusting notion.

After all, god is all powerful, and the master of everything, so, this would have been simple, and much more directed and effective way for him to spread his message of hate and fear, right?

What say you, bible thumpers?

God works in mysterious ways?

That old stand-by?

Now you want to question God's wisdom? Man, it's Sunday - when was the last time you went to Church?

Free will caused god to choose AID's as his method?

Again, why not a different method?

If I understand correctly here, it is the free will of men who choose the dangers of promiscuous gay sex that lead to AID'S. You possess the same free will, but I guess yuor smarter than that.

You get paid to be a christian?

Was it the free will of hemophiliacs to have hemophilia, that required them to get blood transfusions?

After all, god (according to some) orchestrated that.

I see why your so confused. Believe me I've been thier. Your asking the right questions. Try visiting some different churches and just see which one you like best. That's what I did. Everyone has to find they're own path, but they all lead to Jesus. If you stick with it you will be fine.

There are phonies everywhere!! Especially the liberal party, all complete phonies! What makes you think they are phonies on church anyways? Cause they don't stink like you?

I love it.

OP asks a fairly straightforward question, and then gets politics, go to church, you're an a-hole, all kinds of different responses in return.

But nothing that really deals with the subject specifically in the OP.

Ahh, to be a christian!

If you give a man a fish, he can eat for one day. We're trying to teach this man to catch his own fish.

That's in the Bible.

First of, you need some basic spelling/grammar lessons.

But beyond that, why would I go to church?

Any church?

Quite clearly, at the root of all of them, is a bible and a god that spouts evil.

If you believe it.

Sure, there are some churches that try and soften their approaches, but know full well, that the bible and god support slavery, the hatred of homosexuals, the subjugation of women, and on and on.

If you don't know that, you don't know the bible.

But back the original question/thought...if god, is the creator of all, why did he create hemophiliacs and then put them in the crosshairs of an epidemic that some of his followers say was purposeful in targeting a segment of society?

Was that just a "oopsie"?

Does god make mistakes too?

Or, again, just a mysterious thing of his?

God is the ultimate comedian, playing to an audience too chickenshit to laugh.
Do not believe everything you think.

In the old days, you would of raised right, and learn not to disrespect God and his Church. When I was a kid, Sunday was devoted to Church, until football started. If you want to learn the mysteries of God you need to go to Church as we have been telling you. You're questions have been answered but seems you can not see.

Last post he used 'your' when it should have been 'you're'.

Now he uses 'you're' when it should be 'your'.

No, it's not in the Bible. It is a Taoist saying.

Why do the Bible thumpers think they have the monopoly and wisdom and morality?

How many of you Bible thumpers are will to teach Meade to fish so he can get off Welfare?

Thank's for keeping track. I noticed your spelling and grammar is flawless. I guess I don't know how to help you sense you came here with lots of questions, but when people try to help you find the answers, yoiu get angry and insult them. A strange process, which you may want to examine if it works for you or not. Up to you, but maybe after you settle down a little go back and read when your not so angry and think about some of the advice you got here. I wish you luck.

Why would I go to an easily confused hothead like yourself for advice or answers?

I pity the people who think they have all the answers because History tells us they are usually wrong.

If god is so powerful, and "his" truth is so evident...

Why can't he and it stand up to a little logical questioning?

The christian's best tools when responding to some good, intelligent questioning are to respond with anger, finger-pointing, and confusion.

Doesn't make sense, though, does it?

That all of this god stuff should be unassailable...but it really isn't, is it?

Just a lot of hocus pocus.

OK but so far all we've seen from you is anger, finger-pointing, and confusion. You have a lot of questions about God, and that's understandable. But the answer's all make you angry?

Maybe spend a little less time raging at God's wisdom and a little more time learning from it. That's what I try to do anyway/

How do you I'm raging?

Are you...god?

And stop using apostrophes unnecessarily..."answers" is plural, not possessive. Thus, an apostrophe is not required.

Do you have wisdom enough to respond to the initial post?

Why would god do that?

Or, just, mysterious? Go to church? Is that the best you can answer?

Accuse me of being angry and raging, and then tell me to go to church?

Why not engage in real dialogue and discussion...and discuss the original post?

As long they remain confused, they can believe what they say they believe and not find a contradiction. A question was asked to them yesterday that was never answered. With all the different interpretations of the Bible over the centuries, how do you know the one you are using is the correct one? The answer I got was about 'translations'

Of course, when confronted with people with differing beliefs, they often go off the rails.

Was watching some pastor on the internet, responding to the notion that only christians can go to heaven (yes, that is what they believe) but what about all those poor souls in say, sub-Saharan Africa that aren't exposed to jesus and god...is it right that they don't go to heaven.

And so, you see, any REAL answer here will get christianity in trouble, because it will just show just how bad and evil and illogical this whole ball of BS is.

So, most bible thumpers answer with some long winded BS answer that really isn't an answer, just obfuscation.

But this jagoff answered...he said, it's like if Bill Gates walked through a mall, and handed out a million dollars to everyone he saw...

If you weren't at the mall, should you expect a million dollars as well? Is it "unfair" that he doesn't search out every American to give them a million dollars as well? Of course not!

Thus, it's not unfair that god doesn't seek out everyone to give them the answer...they have to find him themselves, and get the answer themselves.

Holy shlt I'm glad I'm not part of any group that follows that thought process.

Why does praying for someone or something work?

So, like god is the almighty...everything is because of him, right?

So, when a kid has cancer, god gave it to him, right?

So, what does praying do? Wouldn't that kind of be like arguing with god?

Kinda like, "hey,I know you gave it to him, but me and bunch of friends at church really think you should take it away from him, so that he lives".

Wouldn't god be all like, "hey, fu(k you, I gave the little shlt cancer, and he's coming up here to be my little angel, so you all shut the fu(k up!

I don't make mistakes, but, well, maybe if ENOUGH of you pray, and say just the right thing, I'll let him go to a hospital, and see what they can do for him. No guarantees from up here, though. Hey...does he have any money? So, have him give some of that money to the church, and, make sure he has enough to pay the doctors, of course.

But again, no promises from up here.

I'm always tickled by the post disaster interviews, where they are interviewing some dumb redneck whose entire neighborhood of trailers got blown away by a hurricane.

It's like, "yeah, but for the grace of god, I'd be one of them. It was divine intervention that my family got saved".

Really?

So he just didn't give a shlt about everyone else, including the newborns?

On the other hand, wouldn't you have wanted him to take you, what with heaven being so great and whatnot?

Or maybe god made a mistake, and the storm got a little out of control, and he realized it at the last second (after everyone else was killed) and saved you, you dumb redneck?

oh jeez, these people with their "logic"...

No better than voodoo.

Pointing out the inconsistencies of the Bible God and the real world is not blaiming God.

I was once like you. Angry, confused, miserable. Addicted to drugs and alcohol. I sold my body and sold my soul, for cheap. I blamed God for my problems and even questioned my faith in God. I was so frustrated and ashamed. But there is a way out. With God in your corner there's always a way. No matter how low you have sunk, you can still be redeemed in Jesus Christ.

If you need the crutch of religion to kick your drug and alcoholic addiction problems then for the sake of the rest of the world, go for it. But that is hardly enough to get the real world to believe in your Bible God.

Wow, are you out of your mind?

Or, I'm guessing you are just purposely pointing out the ridiculousness of bible thumpers?

Anyhow, you know nothing of me, and I can assure you, simply because you were a loser once in life, there is no reason to assume others are as well.

But, like most bible thumpers, you just make things up here and there, and then take the rest on "faith".

But no, I'm nothing like what you describe your former loser self to be.

Why would you assume that about anybody?

Oh yeah, I forgot. That's what you folks do, and are told to do.

Sorry for you,

One bible thumper technique is to say..."look at the human eye...is there anyway that this is because of something other than god?"

Well, yes, of course.

If you don't want to believe in evolution, you could easily believe a team of aliens came down and created us.

Or, we are the equivalent of some other galaxies' 8th grader's science experiment.

Or, a million other "explanations", including god.

But none are any more, or less far fetched than god.

I know, I know...the bible done said it.

Well, anyone could have written the bible, and come to think of it, anyone has...

Over centuries...torah, zeus, odin, valhallah, lord of the rings, dianetics...etc etc...

Point is, I don't need to be saved.

I don't fall into whatever "makes me feel good at the moment" be it drugs, alcohol, religion.

No, I follow logic, and live a good and productive life, with friends, activities, non-profit work.

I don't need to be, nor have I ever been motivated by, quick highs, or the promise of some weird eternal life by someone I've never met.

As usual Jesus loves you but needs your money crap.

If God is so perfect, why do people around the world kill and do all kinds of evil in Gods name? Religion and god man made. Man is created in image of God. Nope God is created in image of man. The Bible and all religions are all full of shit each and every one. Sado masochist control over free thought, no thanks!

There is no god, we can’t blame god for people killing people.
And even if there was a god, you still couldn’t blame him for people that kill

I pity your ignorace so I will point you in the right direction. free will is an illusion. we are mere automatons under the delusion of self determination. determinism is the only rational theory. ask Einstein

Fair enough as psychopaths kill period. Whether for having no conscience and well agree there’s no evidence of any being ever. Religion stole human morality, packaged it and made money and controlled the sheep for years.

That's a philosophical question. Einstein was a physicist, not a philosopher.

I watched a documentary on some Boston pedo priest, and the systematic cover-up by both the church and the brain-washed politicians, cops, and families of the victims.

In one very telling and sad scene, one kid tells of the time he and his cousin both told his mom that they were "touched" by a very popular priest...and she slapped both of them saying "how could you say something so horrible about priest so and so!"

Of course, we say that would never happen to US, because we are too smart and good for that.

Well, clearly it still happens, because there are enough people that turn a blind eye to facts, cold logic, etc and still want to/have to believe in this stupid fairy tale.

It goes to show, nothing, no fact or event, can convince some people.

They will believe 2+2=5 no matter what. And they choose to believe that organized religion is all good. No bad can come of it.

Sad. So sad.

Same show-one of the gross creep priests, buddy to a priest that was accused, tried and convicted, claims his buddy was railroaded, and instead of being convicted, should be remembered as a saint.

Catholic church has lost over half a billion $$ in these scandals, probably over a billion now.

And still...people believe.

Sadly, one of the kids that was molested continued to "struggle" with his faith.

God dam, shows just how deep the brainwashing goes.

Struggle? Why not kick the BS to the curb?

jesus christ, people!
