Remember back in the day, when hard bible thumpers would claim that AIDS was god's way of targeting homosexuals (and some probably still say so today)?

isn't that an inefficient way to do that?

In that:

1. Lesbians are homosexuals...probably real low chance of them catching AIDS
2. Not a guaranteed method...condoms, etc...
3. The collateral damage fallout was HUGE...hemophiliacs were catching it by the thousands...(do you think god said "ooops, didn't see that coming"?)

As long they remain confused, they can believe what they say they believe and not find a contradiction. A question was asked to them yesterday that was never answered. With all the different interpretations of the Bible over the centuries, how do you know the one you are using is the correct one? The answer I got was about 'translations'


Of course, when confronted with people with differing beliefs, they often go off the rails.

Everyone's favorite FFXU Evangelical, Meade Skelton, has actually quit going to church since he can't find one that shares his point of view!!

Was watching some pastor on the internet, responding to the notion that only christians can go to heaven (yes, that is what they believe) but what about all those poor souls in say, sub-Saharan Africa that aren't exposed to jesus and god...is it right that they don't go to heaven.

And so, you see, any REAL answer here will get christianity in trouble, because it will just show just how bad and evil and illogical this whole ball of BS is.

I watched a documentary on some Boston pedo priest, and the systematic cover-up by both the church and the brain-washed politicians, cops, and families of the victims.

In one very telling and sad scene, one kid tells of the time he and his cousin both told his mom that they were "touched" by a very popular priest...and she slapped both of them saying "how could you say something so horrible about priest so and so!"

Of course, we say that would never happen to US, because we are too smart and good for that.

Well, clearly it still happens, because there are enough people that turn a blind eye to facts, cold logic, etc and still want to/have to believe in this stupid fairy tale.

It goes to show, nothing, no fact or event, can convince some people.

They will believe 2+2=5 no matter what. And they choose to believe that organized religion is all good. No bad can come of it.

Sad. So sad.

Same show-one of the gross creep priests, buddy to a priest that was accused, tried and convicted, claims his buddy was railroaded, and instead of being convicted, should be remembered as a saint.

Catholic church has lost over half a billion $$ in these scandals, probably over a billion now.

And still...people believe.

Sadly, one of the kids that was molested continued to "struggle" with his faith.

God dam, shows just how deep the brainwashing goes.
