Republicans Locked out of Conference
Date: February 11, 2009 03:50PM

The Republicans are bitching and moaning that they were locked out of the conference committee to determine what the final stimulus bill looks like...

Actually, the three Republicans who VOTED FOR THE FUCKING BILL were in the conference committee.

I'm glad the Dems are showing those fuckers "the stick" for a change. If the Republicans make an effort to cast virtually no votes for a piece of legislation, they should have no say in the final bill. Fuck them!

Way to try to heal things as Obama ordered and NOT do business as usual in Washington! What happened to the CHANGE? Same demokrat tricks and gotchas. You demokrats might as well have voted Bush in for a third term, with all the "change" we are seeing.

Change is a two-way street. Remember what Obama said about offering a hand when the others unclench their fists. The Republicans need to cut out the crap.

The fact that you dumb Republicans aren't in power anymore is seriously all the change I wanted to see. Mission accomplished as far as I'm concerned.

Easy to do when they are shut out of all negotiations. It was a kampaign promise of Obama's that this WOULD NOT HAPPEN. Promises broken!

No. Obama is being bi-partisan. It is the Republicans who are choosing not to be by being dicks.

Well, in this case, the Republicans certainly are what they eat.

A president who can put sentences together without sounding like he has ADD is enough change for me.

I was watching the President's town hall meeting yesterday. I thought what the hell, it sounds like he is campaigning again. Then it hit me, he is campaigning, for the bill to pass. He is answering questions and representing his branch. Bringing government to the people. Not just speaking through a press secretary and signing statements.

I guess I was so used to the bush years. Where it was; this is the bill, it is going to pass, if you don't like it, go f yourself..

It was such a change from the norm, I just watched and smiled. He could actually answer questions on the spot, and knowledgeably discuss different aspects of the economy. That is what a president is supposed to do.

As far as the republicans, They are locking themselves out of the process with their accusations of pork and without providing any real alternative besides the trickle down theories of the past. I know there is some pork, but one senator claimed the entire section on road improvements/infrastructure was all pork.. All pork? emmm not quite senator, we need roads and jobs.
