Thank you. I'd like to add the following, in the event some of the people saw the Movie Argo with John Goodman, Alan Arkin and Ben Affleck.

(an advanced format utah college worked on that had advanced features "modern image formats" still don't have, great tools like windowing and other things and good docs, and wide compatibility support. i think certain companies stole source code from and was discontinued due to "lack of support", the college and people involved left short: patents unpaid and projects canceled)

it was called "run length encoding"
