Diane Sawyer Drunk on the Air?

Apparently Diane Sawyer imbibed a bit too much during the Inaugural Balls and appears to be a bit tipsy the following morning on GMA. Word is ABC pulled her off the air before the end of the show.

Judge for yourself, but I think she does look a little too warm and fuzzy in a couple of these segments not to be at least a little buzzed...

Yeah. I'm not a big Diane Sawyer fan. She's the originator of that style of "journalism" where she is "one of us" while sounding like she is condescending and patronizing. Wolf Blitzer is a master at it, as was the late "great" Tim Russert.

Wow, people are so gullible.

Even NBC news has reported that all someone did was slow down the tape when Diane Sawyer spoke.

Or, do you really think that George Bush is drunk in this video, too?

It's certainly possible. But what got me was the way she was kind of flopping around that pillar. That seemed like someone who was a little too relaxed for a stand-up on TV.

Anyway, let's compare Diane to the gal who set the standard for "drunk/drugged on network TV"

I still laugh at the emphasis she put on the word "gay." I have to wonder what they were talking about during the break. Obviously it was top of mind.
