Because, you know, the seriously mentally ill should have guns..... After all if the NRA and gun lobbyists can make more money.. then ok.

That's all they know how to do is wash shit out Obama did for the people. They don't have policies of their own outside of taxes and regulation stomping for the rich and special interests .

ACLU even supported repealing this offensive rule.

Unfortunately, people with eating and sleep disorders were being labeled as mentally ill. Not good reasons to deny someone their Constitutional rights.

While I'm not a big fan of psychiatric patients getting guns, it's mostly because I don't trust psychiatrists -- I don't consider it a science, because you can buy the opinion that you need. I don't think it is a science when you can shop around for opinions as to whether or not the defendant is crazy based on which side you are on, prosecution or defense.
I also don't like the fact that the insane are released into the general public, as long as they promise to take their medicine. A little boy was murdered in Alexandria several years back by a psycho who didn't want to take his pills, and the judge wouldn't force him to take them so he would be competent to stand trial.
There are also the psychiatrists who release an inmate because he was too violent for them to want to put up with the danger of dealing with him, only to have him go to Florida and murder a child. That one was on 60 Minutes. The parents couldn't sue the doctor either because his government job gave him immunity of some sort.
Do I like the insane getting guns? No. However, the RICH insane can buy themselves a more favorable opinion, while a poor patient can't afford to have a bad diagnosis overturned.
