Disagree. That Metallica songs is one of the worst things I've ever heard on the radio. That was when I finally had to admit that my Metallica sandwich was filled with shit.

I really dig most of their covers on the Garage Days album. A nice heavy twist on Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, etc. I am a sucker for covers, though.

But yeah Metallica pretty much sucked after I heard songs like My Friend of Misery and Through the Never.

lol, Metallica did alot of shitty stuff in the 90s, but that song is a jump-the-shark moment. It's a fucking joke.

It's okay, until you hear the original Budgie version, which blows it away. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orYr_dVnb48

I will say it's the best song Metallica chose to cover, if not the best result.

I love that ANY band would even cover Budgie. Van Halen did "In For the Kill" in their club days, heard it on Youtube.

I'd take Budgie over Metallica any day of the year.

The Pogues were from England.

You seem like one of those people who Googles to have something to say...

They play Celtic music and MacGowan and Terry Woods are Irish. Sounds pretty Irish to me.

The Picts were probably the original inhabitants of Britain. Not sure about the original inhabitants of Ireland.

The Celts, Gauls, Angles, Saxons, and Normans were all Germanic tribes that over ran the British Isles.

That's your history lesson for the day.

Picts in Scotland, too. Thank you to Roger Waters for making me notice.
