Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Has anyone heard of them? They had a booth at the last gun show I attended. They told me about how they were the fighting force of Virginia and that they work closely with the national guard and pick up what they can't perform. I was also told that they aren't allowed to carry weapons but that they were working to reverse that. Also when off duty they are very well armed. They also said that I could gain military experience to help find a higher paying job and that employers look closely at resumes with VDF experience. Are they more elite than the Army? Anyone here ever serve with them?
I am not one of them, yet I am legally armed all the time. Weird.
"Work closely with the National Guard". Lemme translate that for you; They follow the Guard into whatever shitstorm they get deployed to and then meander around vigilante style pretending to help - oh wait they are not armed (or authorized to even be there or do anything), so that should go well.
"Employers look closely at VDF experience". Absolutely. In fact, VDF members have their own special pile in the sorting of job applications.
I am a gun toting Republican and I think these guys are retarded.
yes, they are there for our protection. Most of them have a hard core military background, they are called the "Mercenary Troop of VA", they are much like the Foreign Legionnaires
Not sure if you are serious but the VDF is basically a joke. Some folks might be well meaning but they have no authority, no training, and no firearms. Their idea of being deployed is directing traffic in the parking lot of the state fair. The armed force protecting Virginia is called the State Police. http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/467613/page-1.html
