I'm not a doctor, but my sense is that the delivery system is rapid and intense, and could be fatal. Why would you be asking here, and not doing full research on it yourself? Is it a stupidity thing?

You can, but the delivery of the medicine will be much slower than if you took the tablet orally. This is because a tablet is made to be broken down in the stomach and absorbed through the intestine. Rectal insertion skips the step where the pill is broken down in the stomach.

If you are determined to take your medicine this way, I would recommend you crush the tablet to powder, then use a tube to blow the crushed powder into your rectum. I saw this done frequently in rural clinics in India, where oftentimes suppositories were unavailable and the patient was either too sick or debilitated to take their medicine by mouth. A member of the patient's family would administer the powder, either dry or mixed with some petrolatum, to an aged family member.
