XM Radio needs Financing

Economy is bad and XM\Sirrus are looking for funding to keep going, but who will lend it to them?

No one. XM/Sirus is doomed. Their stock is hovering at the .12 cent mark. They had to flush more stock into the market to try to get more money. With over a billion in debt due this year and a *slow* auto market, they are dead in the water.

It is toast. The business model was flawed to begin with and it was poorly executed from the start. The technology isn't particularly great, either. Whatever cost savings SATRAD was going to have by having an extra-terrestrial delivery system has been lost by all the repeaters they have had to put on the ground to fill in the dead spots when you drive under a tree or between buildings.

The stations are great but the business model has lots of problems. Looks like they will have to file for bankrupty to restructure. The Sat structure is already in place so I can't see it going completely under.

Good point about the auto industry. They were really helping sat radio by offering it free for a couple of months to get people hooked.

Have them goto Washington before Barak gets in office. The Bush administration has been handing out free tax dollars to companies for the past 8 years.
