I bought a Projektor...

To the sweat drip down my balls...To all these bitches crawl...To all skeet skeet muv-vugger!

You should buy a projector.

file.php?0,file=93281,filename=DSC001032

No noticeable framerate lag...so your action flicks and first person shooter games will be the same as if you were playing/watching on a regular LCD but it will be 4-20x larger! The only part that sucks is on some games that have mini-maps in the bottom corner of the screen, you will have to physically turn your head just to see it..lulz.

That picture doesn't even do justice to how clear the image truely is (1080p). That isn't the largest size that my projector will display but the room that i have it in is small and any larger then it starts to get a little distorted. The current screen size is approximately 86"...and that is being displayed directly onto the wall too, not even onto a projector screen. The colors are more vivid on a screen but i don't plan on buying one until i get back...

It depends on the projector. If the projector has a low lumens number then the room will have to be darker...anything over 3000 lumens and the room doesn't need to be blacked out. My wall is white, yo.

Currently I am basically in what could be considered a dorm room and am not allowed to mount anything to the walls or ceiling being that it's government issued quarters. Right now I just have it basically sitting on a computer desk about 5 feet off of the ground. Although I read articles about people either running the cables through the walls which would involve drilling. Otherwise places like comp usa and best buy sell covers that stick to the wall and run the cables along the wall then up the down the ceiling. I think that would look tacky although I have never actually seen what this would look like...However most of the newer projectors have what is called "lens shift" so basically you can put the projector anywhere in the room and it doesn't even have to be dead center and it will shift the image and center to where you want. the lens shift is both horizontal and vertical...so you could have the projector even sitting on a table if you wanted to...

The model that I bought is the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 and I bought it through a company called Visual Apex . The offered some freebies for oredering it from them but the main reason was because I didn't have the luxury of just walking into a best buy to make the purchase.

This is another good site that talks about how many lumens you should shoot for depending on the size of the room that you plan on putting it in: Projector People : Lumens Guide . They have many other informative articles as well.

Also mine is only 2000 Lumens which is ideal for me since my room is roughly 15x10. Just how the higher the lumens then the more light can be in the room, the opposite is true also...The higher the lumens then the brighter it will make the room when it is dark. It won't be as noticeable in a larger room like a living room and whatnot but in the jailcell that I am in...it would be more noticeable.

How much did you get it for? Have you considered the price of replacement bulbs?

My friend has a projector, bulb needs replacement about every other year or so.
