Do you know anyone who never watches TV?

I bumped into an old friend tonight and we got to talking and he mentioned he doesnt own a TV and hasnt watched a TV in over 5 years.

Weird?

I dont know if I could do that. I agreed with him that 90% of what's on is shit, but I still watch sports and some other educational shows. I love "How It's Made"!

I don't watch TV, and got rid of it back a couple of years ago. If there's a show that I'm interested in, I download it from iTunes.

FX, AMC, Showtime, and HBO have some good content.

Other than that, I can't stand all the shitty laugh-track sitcoms, formulaic reality shows, and played-out singing competitions that somehow manage to grab huge ratings. The fact that The Big Bang Theory won an Emmy is sickening.

Don't need a TV or plan my life around programming schedules. If there's something I hear about that sounds interesting, I'll check out reviews online, download it and watch it when and where I want. eztv, Kickass, and ThePirateBay (Demonoid is still recovering...) are excellent sources of just about any show or movie.
