Poll: Chris Christie opinion unscathed
While journalists and politicians (and Gerrytard and Fat Bottom Girl) have spent the last week captivated by the George Washington Bridge Scandal involving Gov. Chris Christie’s office, two new polls show the public has remained largely indifferent, calling into question the long-term political consequences the scandal might have on Christie.
The Pew Research Center poll reports that 60 percent of adults say their opinion of Christie has not changed since revelations that top aides were involved in politically motivated lane closures on the George Washington Bridge. Only 16 percent of of those surveyed say they now view the New Jersey governor less favorably and 6 percent say they now view him more favorably.
What’s more, only 18 percent of those surveyed say they paid very close attention to the nearly two-hour long press conference on Jan. 9 in which Christie apologized for his aides’ actions.

I cant stand Christie but I hope the fake outrage continues. It just shows what partisan hacks people are and how in the bag the media is for Obama. This of all things is what gets them fired up? Most people dont like that he did it if he did but the fact that this is getting more attention than the other scandals is absolutely pathetic.

I like Fox News while a Democrat is in power. Keeps a good check on the executive. Fox doesn't have any credibility with their hyperbole bullshit so they're fine. Its just when its a Republican is in office they become the fourth branch of a police state that's dangerous.

I should point out that Fox News does look quite inferior after all their idiotic reporting on supposed Obama scandals in relation to the hard hitting facts based reporting MSNBC has done on Christie.
Its just so more exciting and relevant when its an actual scandal with actual journalists that believe they are serving a critical purpose.
The Fox News people are just propagandists for the most part so when scandals do happen they don't shift into that next gear. There isn't that extra energy and conviction.

It's funny you mention "police state" Gerry. Yet, you don't attribute anything towards a "police state" within the current administration?
What about?
1) The media just ignoring the daily debacles of the Obama administration?
2) The NSA over-reaching in such a manner that it's essentially a police state now with respect to eavesdropping in on people's phone calls, computer use, etc.
3) The desire of the Liberal establishment to take control and rewrite the 2nd Amendment to eliminate ownership of weapons. Sure, they're starting small, but they'll keep attacking it like a cobra until they've totally brought it into submission.
4) Pulling back on the Border Patrol responsibilities as well as the DHS' ability to deport people who should not be in this country. Yet, the DHS is being assigned to handle other tasks - accumulating lots of ammunition as well as vehicles built for armor protection.
I've also provided a link to the definition of "police state" for you so you can read up a bit. Clearly, Fox news is something the opposite of a police state when compared to how the current president and administration is shaping America. It's going a bit further than all Americans sitting in a circle singing kub-buy-ah. Don't you think?

Depends on how careless Christie's been with the evidence. If it can be proven that he knew long before last week when he says he found out, he's in hot water for doubling down on 'I didn't know'. If there's evidence that he was behind the whole thing, my guess is he can kiss 2016 goodbye. It's not completely out the question that he could be impeached and actually go to jail, although I'm guessing that's unlikely. I would hope that former prosecutor Christie is smart enough not to have left evidence lying around, but then I woulda thought his staff was smart enough not to do such a thing either.

Romney was at least economically conservative. Christie no longer seems to be conservative except for the party he claims to be from. Hes not a guy anyone will think twice about disliking.
Plus 2016 should have a lot of good candidates not just retreads since its an open election. A lot of people sit out the presidential election when theirs a sitting president running for reelection due to how hard it is to win historically. Once youve lost a presidential election you almost never see that person win it in the future.
