Will Obama attack Syria even after Congress votes 'no'?

I think that's what's going to happen. If so, he's basically saying "you can vote on it, but only if you vote the way I want you to. Otherwise, I'll just do what I want anyway".

I'm assuming Congress will bitch and moan and then promptly do nothing about it, because they'll all be too busy running for re-election.

I like the debate.

If Obama stuck his foot in his mouth with his "red-line" comment; at least he isn't doubling down by going to war to cover his statement.

Obama doesn't want to go into Syria, neither does the American Public and especially important: our fighting men and women don't want to be deployed into another mid-east hell hole.

No one is better at doing nothing than congress. If one of our lawmakers were to jump out the third floor window of the Rayburn Building it would take him two weeks to hit the ground.

If we do go in to Syria....I bet Obama et al keep repeating "no boots on the ground" because our special forces don't wear boots.

He doesnt have a clue what hes going to do which is why he keeps making all these contradictory statements. Its hard to lead from behind if youre trying to take action.

So basically hes said well have a vote he may or may not follow. Whats the point of the vote then? Its funny how if Bush said that progressives would be out in full force demanding impeachment, Obama saying it though brings out the I like the debate bullshit, partisan hacks.

At least Bush got the votes to invade Iraq BEFORE he made threats to invade Iraq. Obozo can't even keep his veiled threats straight anymore.

Bush got the votes for weapons inspectors to go in. It's much harder to get the vote to invade or lob some missiles.

No, in October 2012 he got a joint resolution from Congress and the Senate to authorize military force. The war didnt start until 2013. He had the votes to use force before it was used.

How funny would it be if the cruise missles were called "spears" instead of tomahawks? LOL
