Is anyone really surprised? So many examples of government fucking up and making mistakes, why would anyone think they could handle something so massive and internally fucked up as Obamacare

When she stops trying to use publicity to get something she isn't entitled to..maybe she'll pick other then the gold plan.

This was the Obama "faint girl" at Obobo's recent televised agitprop event.

Here is some text from the article.

“I am a single mom, no child support, self-employed, and I haven’t had insurance for 15 years because it’s too expensive,” President Obama said, reading from a letter he received from Jessica Sanford, a Washington State woman, during an Oct. 21 speech in the White House Rose Garden.

“My son has ADHD and requires regular doctor visits and his meds alone cost $250 per month,” the president continued, reading Sanford’s words. “Now, finally we get to have coverage because of the [Affordable Care Act] for $169 per month. I was crying the other day when I signed up. So much stress lifted.”

The president said Sanford’s success story was “not untypical for a lot of folks” who have struggled without health insurance. Despite the problems plaguing HealthCare.gov, he said, the law itself was benefiting people.

But her joy ended there.

Soon after signing up for the health plan, Sanford was informed the state made a mistake calculating her tax credit. Three days after the president delivered his speech, a notice arrived from the Washington state health exchange with her new monthly premium: $280 a month for a “gold” plan.

Despite the error and significantly higher price, she decided to continue purchasing the insurance.

Then more bad news arrived.

Sanford received another notice from the state last week informing her they had once again erred while calculating her tax credit. This time, her health premium soared to $390 per month for a “silver” plan with a higher deductible — a price she simply couldn’t afford.

Once again, she was reduced to tears.

Allow yourself to be used as a prop by the phoniest leader in history?

Well served.

Hopefully, in late 2014 when people who have insurance through their work start getting cancellation notices or documentation on what they can expect come 2015, the Democrats lose a ton of elections and the GOP has the majority to repeal/gut/rework the ACA and overturn any Obozo's vetos. Otherwise the people in this country are fucked. Most will not be able to afford ACA compliant coverage, or will have their hours cut to part time status so their company gets below the 50 full time employee requirement.

If you don't think that's not happening, you're delusional. My neighbor around the corner owns his own demoliation/construction company. He's probably going to split it into 2 companies (one strictly demolition, the other stritcly reconstruction) to get below 50 full timers in each one.

You're right, different chick, doesn't restore a molecule of faith in OboboCare though.

Of course there are going to be growing pains and problems. No massive project like this, public or private sector, works flawlessly as soon as it's unveiled. Then one day the nation will wake up and wonder why it fought accessible health care so hard.

It will be and it is a failure and it will not be able to live without HUGE subsidies.

The young who were supposed to rush out and embrace this thing will pay the fine instead of $200-$300 a month for insurance they don't need.

It's not "accessible healthcare" either, that's just the scam code words that make nationalization sound compassionate.

My premium will go up about 40%, deductible rises from $5,000 to $6,500. When times were tight, I may have said fuck it and rolled the dice.

Obobo lied.

Your premium went up a whole $80/month, which you have made clear in previous posts that you can well afford. Plus your coverage will presumably be more expensive. Cry me a river.

So she couldn't get healthcare before the ACA but now she can.

There's something wrong with this story. I think it's another false story.

I just signed up a friend yesterday and his total premium per month is $31 with the subsidy.

He wasn't able to afford healthcare before but now for $31 he is.

The $31 covers ER visits, ambulance transportation, $50 co-pay, a major medical deductible of $500 and annual preventative care.

A rational thought, at last. The ACA and the Democratic President, who was fortunate enough to have it made law, will be on the right side of history. Republicans are just angry that it was generally their idea and they couldn't enact or take credit for it.

Any reasonable person can expect that such a massive rollout with all of the verification and income-based variables across several state-level and federal mediums will always encounter flaws.

It's the sad, lonely, hyper-critical and my-team-is-better-than-yours persons who will go down in history as the whiners. This is where Wingnut fits in.

All heavily subsidized by taxpayers. He gets something for nothing and the taxpayer gets screwed... Again.

That would be true is the previous story was true. A 500 dollar deductible would be a platinum plan or gold plan at the lowest. The subsidies only go up to the silver level.

They arent even smart enough to make their lies possible
