So I bought one of those $45 Cuisinart waffle makers.

So I bought one of those $45 Cuisinart waffle makers.
I take it out of box and get it ready and then mix the batter then pour it in.
Let the reader beware that both sides has the nonstick surface.
So the instructions say red not ready,green ready to serve.
So the light became green and I had the setting on #4 for dark brown.
I try to open it.
It refused to open and there isn't any locking feature on it.
I try and try and then I man handle it.
I force open the top from the bottom and the metal casing was bending away from the unit.
The internals was showing such as the heating element and the thermometer.
The top and bottom metal refuse to separate at all.
I told this to an engineer and as I told him he spoke as I told the above story.
He said the thermometer from both sides appeared to have spot weld the bottom and top plate together.
So I am now out of a waffle maker$45 and I am out of 1 waffle.
