With gays its all about the attention aspect. This time I think they overplayed their gay hand. While many Americans tolerate the lisping and feminine acts they would rather not see it. Otherwise how do you explain a liberal state like California voting against gay marriage. If it doesnt play well there you can imagine what kind of reception it will get in the other 49 states.

That one can be solely blamed on Obama. The reason it didnt pass in CA was all the first time black voters that voted overwhelmingly against it. But you wont hear that in the press

You pretty much nailed a fact. If someone is deliberately dressing in an androgynous fashion, they are pretty much trying to cash in on the sexual confusion. If you can't tell the sex of the person, most of the time that person is gay (in one sex or another) or isn't discerning either way.
