So the President was supposed to land in New Orleans in Air Force One and start filling sandbags? Do you not remember the fact the airport was a CF and the assets were needed to respond to the incident, not secure the safety of the President? What is the model of effective shomanship, sit in your house while the entire area surrounding it gets decimated by a once in a hundred years storm and do nothing? Say nothing as many of your staff are sitting at home withut power for days, or at least a week? THAT is the model of an ineffective, out of touch leader.

If the monetary threshold has been met, a recommendation is provided to the White House (The President). The President never sees the documents. It is approved or denied by the Chief of Staff, or Deputy Chief of Staff and the President learns about from a briefing later that day. The President is involved with getting those states and DC the money as Ronald McDonald does with making your cheesburger.

He's already approved all the money, he and his staff worked on package over the weekend. That's why you saw on the news, the governors of the affected states declaring emergencies at roughly the same time. You obviously have no idea what your talking about. If you truly worked at FEMA, you would have known this.

Calls like that are nothing more than a photo-op. The President is there writing down all the information and working his calculator to make sure the threshold has been met? No, he talks to the Governor and hangs up the phone. There are plenty of other times the requests are denied.

BTW, I never implied that my "reason" worked out like I'd hoped. It's hard to account for schools reacting to non-existent threats, and having people online call you "crazy" and call out for people to "stop you".

If I ever was "unstable", it's when the drive-by's started, and yes, there were more than a few. I have no idea how many came from where, but yes, I was actually followed on one occasion, too. (There's an additional claim here that someone followed me -- I have no idea.)

No, I also didn't plan for a "friend" to respond to my request to hire him as a PI by abducting me rather than understanding the situation. Not having accounted for that, I couldn't have known that Horton and Ricker would get another chance at me.

Nor did I plan for a neighbor to go door-to-door, spreading concerns about my traffic watching. Her coming here was just icing on the cake.

There's a lot more for me to do before I'm done with that whole situation, but since Cary put his foot down, I figure I might as well go back to being "real" here, at least for the most part :-)
